Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

2 ★I like the UI and features. On the surface of it, it looks great. However, I just spent a month on the Portuguese coast and not one day was the forecast accurate to my local spots. I don't mean the future forecast, but the current day. The cameras are useful to get the actual conditions. Maybe it's good for regions with open beaches and simple bathymetry. Portugal isn't a niche surf location though. It gives you a general idea of conditions, but so do lots of free options.
4 ★Don't really get the usability complaints. I find it just as easy to use as MSW, it's pretty much the same... only complaint would be the Fair to Epic rating vs stars. It's much more subjective and difficult to gauge what it translates to. Stars are much more universally understood. Otherwise its a good App for giving you an overview of conditions but that's all it should be used for. Don't expect it to be perfect (its the sea and weather...) and you'll be all good.
1 ★Magicseaweed has always been the superior choice because of its simple and beautiful UX. I also loved that it had spot images. Surfline is not intuitive, hard to glance, and often inaccurate. There are posts all over Reddit and social media bashing this poor merger. If you want to improve Surfline, switch to MSW's interface. The company was a major competitor for a reason.
1 ★The surfline forecast is absolute horsecrap (in France). Literally any other forecasting app is more exact and true. Magicseaweed was way more precise. It also sucks that the swell and pressure Charts are only available if you pay in. The user interface is also worse, not intuitive at all. As a conclusion, the switch from magicseaweed to surfline is a major downgrade. Very uncool!
4 ★I give it a 4 star because you have to pay to see most of the cams and if you don't pay you can watch some with 20 second ads every 10 seconds. Other than that it is very reliable and easy.
1 ★Very poor forecasting, particularly for wind. And complete lack of local knowledge eg refers to "city beaches" in Auckland West Coast reports, which if you live there is obviously nonsense. I only keep paying for the live cams.
1 ★When the app was just magic seaweed it was absolutely fantastic. Easy to use and accurate. Now the tide predictions feel horrible to search up where you cannot log into an account. The information is laid out in a far worse manner. And half the time the predictions are way off. Go back to magic seaweed and give us back that fantastic app.
2 ★I surf in Cornwall so this review is based on the accuracy of surflines forecast there. I'm not sure how the algorithm has changed since the magic seaweed take over but it is definately for the worse. Fortunately it displays enough data to allow your own analysis as surflines is poor. I recommend adding functionality so surfers can submit what they think the conditions are post surf. Over time you will be able to see what conditions produce happy surfers for each break.
4 ★Love it except for the camera at Queenscliff, Manly. It looks north back towards North Steyne, which already has a cam. Obviously there's a reason unknown to me. Updates are awesome, description is bang on. If it wasn't for this app, the amount of fuel spent chasing waves would be insane.
2 ★Since latest update I am not able to see any cam anymore, only ads are working. My BF has an iPhone and works just fine, on my Google pixel can only use it for forecast. Used to be much better.
1 ★What a shame MSW sold out this this. It's not the same and totally not user friendly. I like to see the maps with easy access. Not having to choose just one beach at a time. The app look very bear and big emphasis on upgrading to premium.
5 ★Great App, easy to use and user friendly. Please be respectful fellow shredders. There's many of us in the lineup these days and our coastal environs are fragile. Let's all do our part :)
