"사랑이 배달 되었습니다!!"
풍경이 아름다운 어느 시골마을 임화면 야화리!!
이 곳은 할머니, 할아버지들만 남아 농사를 짓는 옛동과 이제 막 새로운 전원주택으로 조성된 새동으로 나누어져 있습니다.
야화리에는 옛동과 새동을 나누는 아주 작은 비포장 도로와 작은 개울 그리고 아름드리 미루나무가 서 있는 미루나무 길도 있습니다. 이곳은 딱딱한 숫자로 된 번지보다는 감나무집, 들꽃나무 울타리 집, 숲 속의 노란 집 같은 주소가 더 잘 어울리는 동네입니다. 심지어 야화리로 새로 이사 오는 집들도 숫자로 된 번지보다는 ‘별밤에 보면 제일 이쁜 집’ 처럼 새 주소를 하나씩 만들고 어울려 살아가게 된답니다.
그리고 그 길 위를 “빨간 자전거”를 탄 우편 집배원이 다닌답니다. 모자를 눌러쓰고 멜빵을 멘 우편 집배원은 편지보다는 각종 고지서를 더 많이 배달하지만, 그 곳에서 사람과 사람이 살아가는 이야기를 전달합니다.
