Syekh Abdurrahman Sudais lahir pada tahun 1961 di Riyadh, Arab Saudi. Ia berasal dari Bani Anza. Pada usia 12 tahun beliau telah hafal alqur'an. Tumbuh di kota Riyadh, menamatkan pendidikan dasar di Al-Munatha bin Harits, kemudian beliau melanjutkan ke Fakultas Syari’ah Universtas Riyadh.Pada tahun 1404 beliau ditunjuk sebagai Imam dan Khotib Masjid al-Haram, Makkah. Di sana pertama kalinya beliau menjadi imam pada sholat Ashr tanggal 22 Sya’ban 1404 H. Khutbah pertama pada hari kelima belas bulan Ramadhan 1404 H. Dalam tahun yang sama, Syeikh Abdul Rahman mendapat gelar Master Degree, dengan predikat “Excellent” dari Fakultas Syari’ah Universitas Imam Muhammad bin Saud. Beliau diberi tugas untuk menjadi asisten dosen di Universitas terkemuka Ummul Qura’, Makkah, di universitas ini pula gelar Doktornya diraih dan lulus dengan predikat “Excellent” kemudian beliau ditunjuk menjadi Dosen Fakultas Syari’ah di universitas ini.
