Princess Nahi'ena'ena Elementary School was established in 1988 and named after the daughter of Kamehameha I and Keopuolani. Princess Nahi'ena'ena Elementary is the second elementary school in West Maui serving students and families mauka of the Honoapi'ilani Highway from Olowalu through Lahaina.
We are a part of the Lahainaluna complex which includes Lahainaluna High School, Lahaina Intermediate School, and King Kamehameha III elementary School; and the Maui Canoe District, including Lani'i, Moloka'i, Hana, and Lahaina.Our enrollment is approximately 650 students, servicing students Pre-K through Grade 5. We offer special education preschool programs as well as providing a partnership with Maui Economic Opportunity Head Start Program. Princess
Nahi'ena'ena School is the only school in West Maui, and only one of two elementary schools on Maui, to offer a Hawaiian Language Immersion Program for all students in grades K-5.
Student Achievement as well as Positive Behavior Supports are key components to our educational programs. We believe students will achieve academically as well as compete in our global world as good citizens.
