Rádio Pitiguara FMNo dia 10 de agosto de 1982, o sonho de três chateaubriandenses começa a tornar-se realidade.
Nessa data, foi fundada oficialmente a empresa "RÁDIO PITIGUARA FM."
Moacir Michelleto, Ferdinando Ferneda Netto e Mauro José Jordão foram os idealizadores desse projeto na área de comunicação , depois outros sócios aderiram a esse desafio que contou também com apoio do Deputado Federal Roberto Galvani e do Estadual Egon Pudel.
A autorização para instalação da rádio foi publicada no diário oficial da União no ano de 1986.
No dia 22 de agosto de 1987, às 10 horas da manhã, a emissora foi Oficialmente inaugurada.
Com uma potência de 250 Watts, sua abrangência era satisfatória, mas para atingir um maior número de ouvintes e municípios, à direção investiu no aumento de potência que passou para 1.000, watts e depois para 5000 chegando aos atuais 15.000 watts com inovação e tecnologia.
O nome PITIGUARA ( que significa senhor dos vales ou Deus dos vales, em tupi-guarani ) foi extraído do livro Iracema de José de Alencar.
Hoje, a rádio Pitiguara FM tem como sócios os senhores, DR MAURO JOSÉ JORDÃO, FERDINANDO FERNEDA NETTO MOACIR MICHELLETO E PEDRO FÁVARO.
Atualmente, a emissora emprega cerca quinze funcionários e é uma sólida empresa no ramo da comunicações , contando inclusive com um excelente índice de audiência.
A Rádio Pitiguara fm está 27 anos com uma programação variada e porisso está sempre em primeiro lugar!!!
Em 2005 toma posse a nova diretória desta emissora, Danille Bitencourt Jordão sangue novo, para fazer dessa emissora, o maior veiculo de comunicação da região Oeste do Paraná...
