We are CETMA, Community Engagement, Technology, Media & Arts

The focus on this project will be to unearth Llanelli’s role in the Great War and share it with the schools and residents of the area in order to educate them about the past. From providing troops and sailors to arms and munitions.

What part did Llanelli play and how did it affect the Town?

We will research and publish the history online via an interactive website, identify the stories of e.g. a soldier, sailor, the housewife, the steel maker and railway worker and project their lives via film.

What buildings were used to support the war effort? Where are all of the monuments to the fallen?

All this information will be put online.
