What's new in version 1.5.4
Important bug fix! The amulet might disappearin room 23 if you haven't updated the game before.If it has gone missing, do this:
- In the Main Menu, click Legacy The Hidden Relic 13 times
- In the "Item ID" slot, type 42
- Click the button "Give Item"
You now have the amulet again, be sure to activate the puzzle on the left before progressing.

5 ★This is one of the best Myst type adventure games I have played in a longtime. It offers enough complexity and head scatching to be challenging, while providing easy access to walkthroughs if you get stuck. At one point I got so stuck I started the game over again to make sure I hadn't missed anything, only to get stuck in the same place. I emailed David and he responded in less than 24 hours with the solution (um, rule #1 for escape games: when in doubt push everything).
5 ★Fantastic work. It's hard to believe that this game was created by a solo developer. There is a long string of puzzles, of varying complexity, which are put together in such a way that it creates a very compelling narrative. The hint system never solves a puzzle for you, which can be frustrating, but makes the whole experience much more rewarding. The graphics and controls have improved greatly throughout the series, making this installation prettier than the last two, as well as very intuitive.
1 ★Great design, interesting concept. Terrible gameplay. The way to move around is clunky and won't take you where you want to go unless you make multiple moves to get there. Puzzles make absolutely no sense, you basically have to randomly guess what to do next most of the time. The teleportation feature would be cool if it would take you somewhere useful. It's like they decided "let me make the most complex puzzle game ever" and then did that by making it hard to play and without using any logic.
5 ★This is truly an amazing game. Everything has evolved in such an amazing way. I hope there is a 4! One of the few games that is worth the cost. Images and controls are great. Love the added hints helped me avoid needing the walkthrough. Only issue is the table with the pebbles no idea how to figure that out had to watch thw walkthrough and even then could not get it.
2 ★We really enjoyed 1 and 2 which were a great balance between easy and hard. Legacy 3 however, was so difficult we just gave up. Sure, we cheated once or twice but then found there were many things we would NEVER have thought to do and lots of traveling back and forth so realized it was not worth continuing. The graphics are great but this one takes a super puzzle solver and that does not include me.
5 ★I enjoyed playing all 3 of the Legacy Games, but I think this one was my favorite with the added rotating view of the rooms. I loved the "plot twist" ending. I also noticed a few bugs where the puzzles got stuck, but like the others mentioned, leaving the room and coming back in reset the puzzle. Overall I'd say this is a very good puzzle game.
5 ★I came across this game after completing another set of puzzle games. Really challenging and fun. A few of the puzzles were so complex that I admittedly checked out the walk thru to get guidance (I play for fun!) The story was interesting and the graphics amazing. Really great game, if you like puzzle games like Myst or The Room, definitely get this game!
5 ★challenging and engaging puzzles. story is passable because it seems meant to string along the excellent chain of puzzles! one notable puzzle didn't make sense even after looking at the walkthrough (im looking at you arrows on tablet puzzle)--in the walkthrough/working solution, the arrow direction is nonsensical. still--this was the only real hiccup on another excellent adventure.
4 ★Well thought out puzzles, but the clues are very limited. A few puzzles I would never had figured out without video walkthrough (room 22, nine digit code... And only using half of the letter). Puzzles like these should provide some clue as to what needs to be done. Also. Movement left, right, is way to slow, to many swipes. Make movement more fluid.
4 ★I enjoyed the game, there were a few puzzles that I would've never figured out if not for the walkthroughs which were very helpful. The hints in the game were not as helpful especially for the hardest puzzles and I couldn't use my stylist pen from my note 8 so there were times I felt my own fingers were in the way of the smaller puzzles. That's the only reason I give this 4stars. Otherwise, the game was right up my alley!
5 ★The movement mechanics are different from the first two, it is still manageable in that none of the puzzles will require a lot of back and forth movement (use your camera to snap pictures for notes and it may help to have a scratch notepad but definitely isn't necessary). Interesting choice to include actors in the silent film style time-viewer, which was only useful 1 out of the 6 or so times activated. The ending was a bit vague but hints at a sequel.
5 ★Fantastic game. I know these aren't as polished as The Room series, but in my opinion the puzzles are better, and actually require thought. Plus it's made by one guy. Graphics are decent, audio is good, and the story is interesting. Controls could be a bit better, but I can't really complain. David, you keep making these, and I'll keep buying them.
