Get Rid of your Accent App is the British English Pronunciation Course at your fingertips, ideal for self-study. It contains 42 audio lessons from the international bestseller Get Rid of your Accent, Part One, by Linda James and Olga Smith (learn more on Developer's Website).
The lessons cover all English sounds needed to master Received Pronunciation, neutral accent of educated southern English and the chief accent taught to foreigners who wish to learn the British model. Each lesson begins with an illustrated description of the speech organ position, followed by practical exercises. The exercises consist of words, amusing sentences, tongue twisters, and verses, taken from literature and conversational English. All exercises are recorded on audio tracks that illustrate the model pronunciation. Students can play audio tracks, record themselves, and compare their pronunciation with the model.

About the authors
Linda James (RAM, Dip. Ed., IPD, LRAM)
Linda trained at the Royal Academy of Music and qualified as a teacher of Speech and Drama. She also holds an International Phonetics Diploma from London University.
Linda has had extensive experience as a dialect coach in TV, films and the theatre. For more than 20 years she has worked as a Speech Tutor at several London drama colleges and privately, specialising in the teaching of Received Pronunciation (RP) and the eradication of accents.
Olga Smith (BA in Linguistics, MBA)
Olga holds a degree in Linguistics and an MBA from Nottingham University. She is also an advanced public speaker and a holder of the Toastmaster bronze reward.
Olga learned a unique drama school method for Accent Reduction from top British phonetician Linda James. They together co-authored the UK bestselling books, “Get Rid of your Accent”, Part One, Part Two and Part Three.

5 ★This is the best instructional App for British English pronunciation and speech improvement that I have seen in years. The authors' method delivers! They effectively teach us how to reduce accent in the shortest possible time. The App precisely explains how to form the difficult sounds of English, and even teaches us correct tongue placement. There are exercises, too, and they immensely help one to practise the correct pronunciations, intonation and stress patterns. I should recommend this App to anyone who is keen on seeing immediate results.
4 ★Ok, app. is really great, but it lacks the most essential part in learning a proper pronunciation-the phonetic transrciptions .No matter how hard I try my recordings wouldn't sound like the original ones because I just simply don't know where to put stress or where to reduce and connect the sounds .Please consider adding it, it would be of great help .
5 ★Wish you made one for American accent as well. It's very useful as an actor.

4 ★Definitely the best app on the market when it comes to teaching a British accent. The problem is that some words/sentences cannot be played. Also in some situations the app does "force close". Since this program is quite expensive it would be nice if it was fully working.
3 ★i couldn't record my voice, have checked the "help" many times and followed the instructions, it still can't work. can anyone tell me how to get it work? don't want to waste my 10 pounds.

5 ★Definitely the best system for getting rid of a foreign accent I've ever seen. I have tried many books and (Cambridge for example) and this is the only system that really delivers the change it promises. It really works. Recording yourself and comparing with the recordings included is really easy. Totally worth the price.
