We are an Irish couple (Jane and Brian) living in Spain and learning Spanish. We started Ella Verbs as we were looking for a way to improve our Spanish verbs and make the jump from intermediate to advanced Spanish speakers. We tried many ways to improve our Spanish grammar (books, apps, tutors – you name it, we tried it!), but never found the one that clicked. So we built it!
We aren’t your typical Spanish flashcards or verb trainer app. Our philosophy is “learn, quiz, repeat”. We teach you, then quiz you and then surface content again when you need it most. It’s been proven that quizzing helps with concentration, identifying gaps in knowledge and long term retention (Roediger & Karpicke, 2006). 5 ★Pretty great and keeps getting better with lots of tweaks and updates. The conjugation lessons and quizzes worked great for me and I just keep using it because it lets you customize your quizzes in so many ways. You can practice just commonly used irregular verbs in the preterite for third person singular or whatever. And the verb dictionary is a great reference, with all the conjugations right there.
5 ★This app is absolutely amazing! I have never seen anything like it. it is way more complete than any book I've ever seen on verbs. if I have any questions the answers are easily available. I can quiz myself anytime on any tense or mood. I like that I can also learn the vosotros form of verbs, but if you don't need it, you can turn it off! Give it a try, it's totally worth it. this is the verb program that I will use for the rest of my life! Thank you both for creating this amazing app.

I've taken Spanish classes many times growing up and always learned the same words, phrases, & a few of the verb conjugations but not in a way that I was ever able to remember them & especially not how to use them. This app has helped me immensely! The lessons aren't too long or complicated and are very well explained. This is the first time I actually feel like I "get it". I wish there was a similar app for everything else you need to learn to be fluent in Spanish🤔😁
5 ★Overall, accurate, sequential, well done. A few minor flaws. . . Many of the verbs used for learning conjugations are obscure and not useful to learn. I wonder if there is a way to change that. Some of the quizzes will have 10 of 10 -ar verbs with no -ir or -er verbs; happens often.
5 ★I'm still not very far but this app is really great for offering a guided way through learning Spanish verb conjugation. You could just look up Spanish verb conjugation if you want, but I like that this app has a set lesson guide it takes you through so you just need follow it, and you can test yourself with quizzes. You can also turn vosotros on or off depending on what kind of Spanish you want to learn.
5 ★This app has gone over and drilled into my head what many other language apps simply haven't. Other apps will give you basic conversations, and other vocabulary which is all well in itself, but for those who want to know how to actually put the words together, and want to get more into the nitty gritty of grammar both basic and complex, this is the app for you!
5 ★Very good app, Informative and adaptive. Provides very good training and the app is very good at committing the verbs and tenses to memory. In the future it would be great if a quiz could be included that tested ones knowledge of how to use a certain set of newly learned verbs in in a sentence.
5 ★Being new at learning Spanish, this app really helps. if I am willing to put in the time, the constant repetition of common verbs is bending my learning curve! a small suggestion would be to be able to repeat the verbal answer in the quizzes. I could learn the pronunciation better by hearing it more than once.
