5 ★It's a great little app. It won't teach beyond basics, but for the priceit's well worth using, especially as a break from more intensive languagestudy.

4 ★One issue is that, if in a lesson there are two images associated to the same sentence, when you have to select one you have 50% chance to get it wrong ;-)
5 ★I love the format, as it is one of the only apps to teach Finnish grammar as you go. However, one of the pictures used caught me off guard. To demonstrate the phrase, "the boy sits in front of the TV," there is a photo of a child strapped to a chair using belts, with a gag around his mouth, in front of a television showing only static. Why is this disturbing image used in this app?
5 ★Yes Rosetta stone method is great :) Please make more lessons and also make something great and interactive for learning grammar, please.
5 ★I recommend learning some grammar, particularly how words change and how consonants rotate, either before starting the course or along the way. This information is plentiful in Internet - in Wikipedia, blogs, etc., so it's not a big problem. Also I'd recommend practicing prononcuation, i.e. repeat words and phrases all the time.
4 ★An amazing application. Really helpful. Teaches all the words nicely and pictures help us learn a lot quicker. And now, the reason for not giving the half star is because the English translation of the Finnish word should be beside it, Because I need to use the Finnish to English dictionary all the time to get the perfect meaning as sometimes the picture confuses us :) thanks.
4 ★The method to present the words and phrases by using visual information works really great! There are no English words and you have to rely on your intuition to get to the meaning. By thinking, you end up focusing on the words and ultimately leaning them! I'm really happy that I bought the full version. There's a mistake that I found - on lesson 2, page 5, there's a picture of a yellow car but the audio recording says vihreä.
4 ★Only it has few grammatical mistakes and few mistakes as describing yellow car as green in 2nd Lecture. Also in 4th there are some times two correct answers, because finish language does not differ between he and she. Nonetheless it would be nice to have some more features as accepting handwritten text in writing exercises and some build in dictionary for used words.
5 ★Excellent app!
5 ★The app shows a picture illustrating a concept, a caption in Finnish, and audio of native speakers pronouncing the word. After a set of 6 pictures shown sequentially, you are quizzed: match the picture to the caption. Once all 6 are matched correctly, you move on to a new set. Lessons are arranged in about 10 sets of 6, and each lesson builds on the previous. It makes a confidence-building game out of learning the language. I'm using this to supplement my Finnish language classes, because it injects some fun and challenge into what could otherwise be dry. If you're considering downloading this, definitely do! It will help your Finnish! Rarely, but it does happen, the concept they are trying to impart is not quite clearly illustrated by the photos. Two examples: after many photos with a caption including the word "KANSSA" I finally looked it up and understood that it meant "WITH". Also, in lesson 2 they introduce the word MUSTA, which means the color BLACK. In lesson 5, this color is introduced again, only in a new form, MUSTIEN, to describe HIUSTEN, or HAIR. After several captions of MUSTIEN HIUSTEN I finally understood that it did *not* mean small yappy dog.
