Story
You’re a simple farmer from the peaceful island of Clog. One moment, you're tending your grove -- the next, you’re lured through a mysterious portal by a talking sheep. Now you’re the prisoner of Sproggi, a mischievous forest spirit who's built a whole village just for you. You have a simple job: tame the wild creatures that roam the forests of Sproggi's realm...

Gameplay
Sproggiwood distills the roguelike genre down to its core fun ingredients: inspired character classes, loads of interesting loot, and procedurally populated dungeons with monsters and traps that combine to produce totally unique tactical challenges. In Sproggiwood, adventure sessions are compact and chock-full of interesting choices for you to make. Each dungeon dive follows the heroic rise of one adventurer from your civilization. Journey through teeming forests, haunted swamps, teetering cliffs, and glacial mazes to uncover your civilization's whole story.

5 ★A bit funny, but hard game.

2 ★Game is fun enough, similar to the mystery dungeon games found on Nintendo handhelds in terms of combat, movement, and maps. Campaign is basically non-existent, I feel like if I'd paid for this game (played it through Play Pass) I would have felt massively ripped off for the amount of gameplay I actually got, thought there would be more after the end, but there wasn't. Town building feature is pointless and adds absolutely nothing to the game. Loot is basically identical across all classes.

5 ★Ignore the "unfortunately quite shallow" review -- It kept me away fromthis game for too long. Sprogiwood is a fun, arcadey, strategic (with asatisfying level of depth), approachable, and well polished roguelike. Thisis the first review I've written on the play store, because I feel stronglythat the negative reviews are off base. This is a high quality game, andperfect for mobile devices
2 ★Such a great game base hindered by a few annoying enemies and lack ofequip/items/enemies. Seriously 60% of the enemies are slimes and 30% areshrooms. The black slimes alone ruin the hardest difficulty and the shroomsthat summon portals ruin the later levels regardless of difficulty. I'vebeaten all levels with most classes on normal and don't want to keepplaying after 4 hours. But the first few levels are perfect
5 ★I am happy to support Devs with this purchase. Great game, but it is alittle short. I would like the Devs to continue to put in content and maybemake an even harder AI than 'savage' and possibly some more cloud-basedachievements.
4 ★A fun take on the standard rogue-like genre, with skills and gear more funto use than the boring, standard copy-and-paste most other games use. Itisn't without it's faults, though; classes are very unbalanced, with archerand wizard being faceroll easy (powerful stamina efficient ranged attacks,low stamina, long distance movement skills, and strong AoE's), and otherslike Vampire relying almost wholly on luck (Vampire's untargetable teleportthat costs stamina and HP, a very weak AoE, no ranged attacks, and theirThrall ability being almost completely useless). There's also a bug withthe Alchemist's flask, where using one of the two charges will make any newpotion you pick up only have one charge unless you empty your item slotcompletely before picking up a new one. It's also fairly short, and thetown decorating thing is pointless. Overall a fun game, but could still usesome polish, and some sort of endgame content after the story is completed.If you're a fan of the genre, you'll get your money's worth.
