In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.
The pace of This War of Mine is imposed by the day and night cycle. During the day snipers outside stop you from leaving your refuge, so you need to focus on maintaining your hideout: crafting, trading and taking care of your survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to scavenge through a set of unique locations for items that will help you stay alive.
Make life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them for longer-term survival. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better.

1 ★Literally got stuck on day 1 because of the controls and lack of description there-of. Probably possible to play and survive, but it certainly wasn't easy to figure out from the start. Moving the characters around is painstakingly slow, the dialogue repetitive. The only thing mildly redeeming about the game is the gloomy art style and story (least what I caught of it). The real unfortunate factor here being that if the mechanics of the game weren't trash, the good story would be enjoyable.
5 ★Why is this game not working. I have not played in awhile and downloaded it again amd it crashes before letting you in the game. i paid for this game and it should work.
5 ★I have loved this game since I first found it years ago. Finding a Android version was great, but as I am currently hiking the PCT I was worried about the power drain. Surprisingly enough, this game is NOT a drain on my battery! It's beautiful, the story is beautiful (if dark), and it translates beautifully to Android. It is a powerful story of life in a war zone, and the developers deserve great credit for letting us stop being superheros for a moment and instead try to be good people.
5 ★I genuinely love this game, it has like a fallout shelter vibe mixed with various other game. But overall I really enjoy this game, it's more detailed than I expected.
4 ★I'm giving this four stars, the game is temporarily unplayable, due to a bug, but there working on a fix, and sent me a response quite quickly. So thank you to the developers, and I hope to be able to play in no time!
4 ★I saw all the reviews about the black screen n was skeptical it would work or even be worth it but ive been playing it for a few days with no issues, its been great and very fun. So i think the bugs have been fixed
1 ★I just bought the game today. I already know the game is great from previous PC playthroughs. When I saw the sale I thought I was getting a great deal. Instead I payed for what amounts to a black screen. The game opens up fine but then just goes to a black screen. I tapped on the screen and it registered a button press which means it is definitely functional but not visible. Not even worth what I payed for on sale. Edit: It's been less than 24 hours and I can't even get a refund on my purchase.
3 ★Experiencing black screen on start up, it only Hf ave audio, played it before, it's all good, but this latest update, doesn't let you in to the game, please fix
3 ★Game has potential. Good story and range of diverse characters and backstories each with their own passive strength or weaknesses . However even though the game is running, the phone gets automatically locked as per its wake / sleep timers set in the Display mode. Only workaround is to set a 10 minute sleep time so that the phone gets locked after every 10 minutes instead of 30 seconds.
5 ★This is one of my favorite games of all time. I played it on my computer using Steam a few years ago and when I saw it in the app store, I just had to get it. It is very addicting, challenging, and immersive. The little details like character bios and random rotating conditions, like weather and available scavenging locations, add a nice touch and keep the game fresh. I highly recommend this game.
2 ★The first time I opened the game it worked out smoothly despite what the reviews were saying. The gameplay itself is amazing for it being moved to mobile and there are so many ways to go about surviving. But now I try to open it a second time to continue my playthrough and it just gives me the black screen with music and all but I can't do anything. I even tried to force stop the app and nothing changed. This is a 5 star game and rightly so but until this bug is fixed my ratings can not change.
