Description

Precise Volume is a fully-featured Equalizer and audio control utility. It is filled with helpful features with the goal of allowing you to customize your audio to sound exactly how you like it.

NOTE: Returning users, try turning on Legacy mode. This may get the app working for you again. Go to Settings -> Equalizer Settings -> Legacy mode

This app overrides Android's default 15-25 volume steps and allows you to set a fully custom number. Other apps may give the illusion of having more volume steps, but this app actually has them.

Help

Modern science tells us that the volume of our music can be just as important as anything else for connecting emotionally to our music. When volume is too loud or too soft for a given song, emotional connection can be lost.

But Precise Volume doesn't just give you more volume steps. It also contains tons of automation features and customization options, such as:

Fully-Featured Equalizer
- Graphic EQ is your standard (but powerful) 10-band Equalizer
- Auto EQ can automatically adjust sound for your specific headphones (compiled by jaakkopasanen - you rock, dude)
- Bass/Compressor boosts bass!
- Reverb creates a simulated environment around your head
- Virtualizer creates a highly immersive surround sound effect
- Volume Booster can be found under Graphic Eq as "post-gain"
- L/R Balance lowers the volume of the left/right channels
- Limiter boosts volume as it safeguards your audio from going above a certain level, while keeping quality

Volume Booster
- Careful with this!

Automation
- Apps Automation (activate presets when apps are opened/closed)
- Bluetooth Automation (activate presets when Bluetooth is connected/disconnected)
- USB DAC Automation (activate presets when your USB DAC is connected/disconnected)
- Headphone Jack Automation (activate presets when headphone jack is plugged/unplugged)
- Date/Time Automation (activate presets at specific dates/times, repetition options included)
- Boot Automation (activate presets when device boots)

Volume Presets
- Pre-define volume and other settings to apply later (can be used with automation, etc). Create specific presets for all of your headphones, for your car, etc.

Equalizer Presets
- Pre-define Equalizer settings for use later (can be used with automation, etc). Create specific presets for your every mood (or headphones!)

Media Locker
- Lock volume buttons to media (system-wide). No longer will you have to guess whether media or ringer will be adjusted

No Root Required

PRO Features
- Up to 1,000 volume steps
- Custom volume increments
- Unlimited volume presets (free users limited to 5)
- Volume Button Override gives you more volume steps anywhere on your device
- Replace your phone's built-in volume popup
- Remove ads

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★Unfortunately it doesn't work on my Nokia 6 with Android 9. No precise volume settings possible. It just jumps in the same steps as the hard volume buttons :-(
4 ★This app seemed good for a few days, my phone wants to be inaudible with any speaker wire plugged in without an app to boost the sound, it didn't used to be a problem. But like EVERY SINGLE APP I'VE TRIED, it will not work every time I use it. Edit to say it does seem to be more reliable than any one i have tried.
1 ★A good idea, but it doesn't actually work on my phone. Although the slider allows theoretically for fine volume adjustment, there is no discernable slight differences in the sound, only big differences (as it is usually) between certain numbers eg volume (23-24). Considering I paid for full version this is disappointing.
4 ★Not entirely clear how the volume slider in the app and the physical volume buttons interact, but it is perfect for my needs (minimum volume for Bluetooth is too loud without this app)
4 ★This app is great ezcept on my motox4 it needs to be monitored as call volume randomly goes to 5. And it doesnt monitor accessibility volume that I can see unless it has a different label in this app. Not many volume apps have it. But it's the best one I've found regardless. Love the interface and options. I paid for the full version and it had a ton of automation options including app rules. No more jumping loud YouTube or music, set the presents you want apps to start with and no more probs.ty
2 ★Unfortunately it makes no difference on my phone. The lowest volume is too loud for quiet situations and this did not change that at all.
1 ★Please remove full screen ads since there are like a banner or two already. Anyway 1 star because it shows 1 to 100 but from 23 to 24 it changes dramatically just like from 3 to 4 in the original 15 step limit. Doesn't actually help or be precise. Xiaomi Note 8 Pro Miui 11. Fix this and it would only be fair to change the rating to 5.
4 ★I've never noticed any difference in volume with using this app. Has lots of random settings that can be fun to mess with, but has no effect to the actual volume or any specific frequency. Rather weak Eq, not my favourite but is ok. Loudness will work away times, very inconsistent and distorted sounds cause me to not use. This app acts like it can heavily change system settings but as to restart device, although once don, the settings importBt revert.
1 ★My old phone was able to take full advantage of this app, allowing me to have 100 different volume levels directly related to the percentage i set in the app. Now i just got a new phone and the app is useless. The volume levels only scale up every 6-7%, so now i have no way of varying the volume beyond the limitations my phone already sets.
4 ★Download BuildProp Editor and add either of the build.prop lines mentioned above and set it equal to the number of volume steps you want to have. For example ro.config.vc_call_vol_steps=14 ro.config.media_vol_steps=30. Its works better then app
5 ★Works on Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X , but not perfectly , everytime i change the volume up/down , the volume changed back to normal for like 0.5 second before precise volume app changed the volume again to the volume that i want , but other than that as long as i didn't change the volume it work just fine .
5 ★Works great. My speaker was either too loud or muted. This allows me to adjust just right.
