• Story
The story begins in a forest near the village of Riders. Three young friends—the hero, Lilia, and Cheval—stumble upon a shining egg.
The trio perform a playful imitation of the Rite of Kinship, only to be shocked when it actually succeeds!
The egg hatches, revealing a baby Rathalos, a flying wyvern also known as “the King of the Skies.” The trio affectionately name him “Ratha,” and take him back to the village.
Days later, without warning, the village is beset upon by a monster infected by “the Black Blight.” They manage to drive it away, but not before it devastates the town—and leaves indelible scars in the hearts of Cheval and Lilia.
A year passes...
The hero receives a Kinship Stone from the Village Chief and officially becomes a Rider. Cheval and Lilia both leave the village, each on their own path. The hero, though separated now from childhood friends, partners up with the cheerful Navirou, and embarks upon a new adventure into the world of hunters.
A story of friendship and triumph await you—ride on into the world of Monster Hunter Stories!

5 ★I'm new to the Monster Hunter series, with World being my first title. On a trip away from home I was dying to scratch my itch for the game and found this gem. It's much different from the main series, and it lets you know that. You play as a "Rider", someone who forms bonds with monsters, instead of the normal "Hunter", who outright slaughters them all. This is only the demo, but I got a good 7 hours of game play here. Make no mistake - the full version your typical rpg game. I'll be buying it.
4 ★It's just as great as everyone says it is, just one problem. The backup file doesn't work. After playing 1-2 hours one my tablet, I then wanted to download the game on my phone, which I did. They were both signed into my account and I also created a backup file on my tablet. However, when I tried to load the backup file on my phone, it didn't work. I tried for 20 minutes. I've seen many reviews like this so please get this fixed.

5 ★I love the game itself. This is 10/10 for me, however I notice that the battery consumption to this game is too high. To the point that 1% of my battery is only equivalent to the 1 minute play time of this game. I am currently using Samsung galaxy note 8. But all in all this is a thumbs up for me. :) Hope you will make an update to this battery consumption issue. P.S. will do finish this free game then shift to the Paid Version.
2 ★Although game is nice,But I have noticed one thing that JP version and global version get different updates even though price tag is same.Beacause of last update 1.0.2 we can understand they are not planning on continuing the updates.Nice game but not worth it.Just buy JP one if you can.HALF-AAAASSSSS
4 ★Good game,even though it is the demo it gives you a glance before you pay 20 bucks,that is if you pay the money for the full game that is. I wish it was less laggy.
5 ★Not enough space to review. Great game. Read these 2 notes before downloading. IMPORTANT: Number 1: This is the "free trial" of the full game, which costs about 20 USD. This isnt clearly stated at the download page. Number 2: the saved data from this app does transfer over, but a lot of people get hung up on how it works. Save your game on this app. After paying and downloading the new game, open MH stories and hit New Game (not import). you will see the load option here.
5 ★An excellent demo to the full game. It's a nice mix of jrpg, monster hunter and pokemon with a simple combat system with a wide variety of options. I logged about 6 hours worth of playtime before starting the next act, which requires you to purchase the game to move on with the story. Definitely worth the price to purchase the full game, but I'd recommend playing Stories first and find out for yourself.
