3 ★I would give it a 5 if it weren't for the enforced lock screen feature. It's a great idea that I would probably use *some of the time*, but to me it's too intrusive to be worth having constantly. I love pretty much everything else about the app, but that alone is the reason I'll be uninstalling it for now and keeping an eye on future updates.
1 ★Be careful! 50% battery drain from this app (see battery menu) and ads show up for ride shares between locations I visit (location tracking, creepy). Probably tracking a lot of other information if it's draining the battery that quickly. The only interesting thing is the greeting screen, otherwise, words you tag as "don't know" don't return (?), when you use Google maps and other apps it dangerously gets in the way (why?) and there's no way to disable that. May seem like a freebie, but comes with a price. I'd stay away
1 ★The app is great and the idea is amazing but i cannot give it a good review because it's stupid how much of the batery it drains. I need to charge my phone twice as fast since i installed the app and even if i turn it off for that day it still eats from the background. You really have to work on the optimization part. And also one should have a choise when it comes to 'invading' also the lock screen.
4 ★The idea of the app in general is rlly awesome, but It's annoying me sometimes with the adds and the quantity of the words that keep providing me at once, one after the other!! I found it fun to learn with wordbit but the app will be much better if it somehow can get the right to control the amount of words that u want to learn perday and less adds ofc.
2 ★Great app. Almost. First: sentences that you use to give examples to begginers are overcomplicated. And second: your app take over the lock screen?!? Really?!? And user can't turn it off that "great" feature?!? Really?!? Dumbest thing I ever saw in my life. You shoot your own leg and make me hate this app except living it.
4 ★The one thing that pisses me off about this apps persistence is f I set an alarm and it goes off or when I receive a phone call this app comes up and it overides my ability to either answer the phone call or just turn the alarm off. That said having a sort of flash card as the first thing you see on your phone is genius. You don't have to think about working on your vocab you just will.
4 ★(edited) I had to first allow it to display over other apps, by turning the passcode in the app on and then off again. Hope that helps others with Android 10. Update: Now I'm using it, would be fantastic (perfect) if it can be programmed not to display over the alarm clock or camera??? In these two situations it's very annoying, but it's so useful I don't want to disable it!
5 ★i like the idea of this app. this is literally my first comment on playstore, so i guess that says a lot. One question though, after a while, after about 10 - 15 minutes of phone use, wordbit stops showing on my lock screen if i lock and unlock my phone. is there a reason why this is? And is there a permission i need enabled on my phone? again, really nice app and a nice idea!
1 ★Would be a very useful app if you could turn off the lock screen function! It just took over my phone and I couldn't retain apps I was using or even turn off the alarm (particularly annoying, I had to unlock my phone, then choose alarm to switch it off). For this reason only one star, I have uninstalled and will use other language learning apps that aren't so invasive!!
3 ★Marked 200+ words known/uncertain/unknown. Started exploring the lists: unchecked everything but "favourite" to see what was there, thinking I'd fave'd something by mistake. Just the word favourite as a demo. Hit something that closed the app (menu button? too many buttons close the app when you don't know what's what yet). When tried to open it, said "failed to load word". whether said to try again or not, wouldn't open. Had to reinstall, lost everything. 😬 Fails if no lists have a checkmark?
5 ★From seeing it as an ad on YouTube, to downloading it. its worth downloading and the idea that was set up in the development of this app is mind blowing😉😉...how on earth did you guys know that the right time to learn a word is when unlocking your phone for the fact that during that period the user is less busy, which makes him/her easy to recall words.I give it a thumbs up for you guys👍.💥💥💥💥💥, sorry i just ran out of stars.😁
3 ★good app to learn vocabulary with pronunciation but can be very annoying, words keep popping up in the middle of nowhere, sometimes stopping music, interrupts camera while taking a photo, all of a sudden a words appears on screen while writing a watsapp msg.. it would have been good if words would show up only at the time of screen unlocking
