Polyskills 2018 e-book dibangunkan oleh Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah untuk panduan pengguna mendapatkan maklumat-maklumat semasa bagi Pertandingan Kemahiran Politeknik Malaysia (Polyskills) yang merupakan pertandingan yang dianjurkan setiap tahun secara bergilir-gilir oleh Politeknik Malaysia mengikut zon. Ianya merupakan landasan kepada pelajar Politeknik Malaysia yang merupakan belia negara untuk bertanding, mendapat pengiktirafan, memperolehi peluang untuk menonjolkan bakat kemahiran di peringkat Polyskills, seterusnya ke peringkat World Skills Malaysia Belia (WSMB). Pertandingan ini disertai oleh pelajar Politeknik Malaysia yang berumur 18 hingga 22 tahun dan berkemahiran dalam bidang yang dipertandingkan.Pada tahun ini, sebanyak 26 bidang kemahiran yang akan dipertandingkan sepanjang Program Pertandingan Kemahiran Politeknik Malaysia (Polyskills) 2018, dimana 8 bidang yang akan dikendalikan oleh Penganjur Bersama di PSIS iaitu Electronics, IT Network Administration, Web Design, Cooking, Restaurant Services, Bakery, Pastry dan Carving. Seramai 150 orang peserta dianggarkan akan menyertai pertandingan yang dianjurkan di PSIS dibawah kelolaan Jabatan Kejuruteraan Elektrik (JKE) bagi 1 bidang iaitu Electronics, Jabatan Teknologi Maklumat dan Komunikasi (JTMK) bagi 2 bidang iaitu IT Network Administration dan Web Design, serta Jabatan Pelancongan daan Hospitaliti (JPH) bagi 5 bidang iaitu Cooking, Restaurant Services, Bakery, Pastry dan Carving.
