3 ★It's a pay to win game, with great graphics, but a bad strategy to keep players in. Upgrades in game are insanely long, so it is easy nowadays to find plenty of abandoned bases to loot from. Updates aren't smooth, and normally renders the game unplayable for a while. A bit annoying. In order to advance faster, you'll have to pay - insane amounts of money. $29.99, 49.99, 99.99 etc. Recently seems that someone on their Dev team realized something and put their season pass for sale - 0.99 - finally
2 ★I've been playing this game for almost 3 years now and loved it. However, with a recent addition of weekly events, I can no longer recommend it. The weekly events have a $20 event pass that is necessary to fully unlock all of the goals for the event. I refuse to pay more than 10 bucks to win, so you better believe I'm walking away from 80/month for some temporary prizes.
1 ★Really liked this game. It's actually very well put together. Unfortunately, this is like all the other loot-box heavy games out there. There more you play it, the higher level you are, the more difficult they make it to progress. I realized how much of my life I was spending on this game to make marginal progress. Uninstalled it after about a year of playing.
3 ★Heavy grind game that will try to nickle and dime where ever it can with some of the worst value of micro transactions. The wait times for building and upgrading get to be unreal but the basic idea behind it is fun. Just expect the game to take you years to progress without spending money. Took me about 4 years of idle playing to get world war 2 time frame and still don't have all the buildings upgraded.
3 ★It's a decent game with very good structure, but has it's fair share of bugs, you can't use key features of the game like speedups which they offer in abundance. They also have a connection bug where the game will lose connection mid fight pretty frequently and make you lose your whole army when you didn't even get to start an attack. The game would be 5 stars if even those 2 major bugs could be removed, hell even just the speedup bug. Every time I go to use them it loads a connection error.
2 ★Been playing the game since 2015 (right as the industrial era came out) and the ad for rewards doesn't even work anymore. I watch an ad to get a reward, after the 30 seconds pass, the game restarts and I have to load back in again. When I load in, no progress occurs at all for the rewards. The entire thing is broken. However when I watch an ad to re-train my troops, it works fine. Please fix this
1 ★Not Worth It They make it very fun and easy to build your civilization at first, but after a certain point it becomes almost impossible without crowns. Took part in an offer for crowns through playing one of their advertised games and getting to a certain level, however, no crowns were given (shocker). Contacted their "support" many times, no help. They wouldn't let me "submit a ticket". They basically just want to load you up with advertisements till you die.
1 ★The damn game keeps reconnecting to the server randomly and doesn't save anything that was done literally a few moments prior to that, especially after a war or watching one of their ridiculous advertisements. The troops are also dumb as ****. If I were a soldier, I would defend myself from attacks before going for the loot right next to the defensive buildings. All in all, this is one big dumb*** game.
2 ★I love this game... when I can actually play. Slowly I'm losing interest in this game as I've been locked out for going on two weeks nice. Like others, it sounds like I'm stuck in the "update loop" that won't allow me to update, nor reinstall because I uninstalled per developer advice. As one that has paid to play, I'd love to see this fixed and perhaps some bonus perks tossed our way. Otherwise 5*, honestly great game.
1 ★Constant game crashes, too many cheaters, losing troops and war attacks due to crashes, they bring new content but refuse to fix problems that have been going on for a long time, customer service is awful, and I think it's all pay to win now. This used to be a great game. It is no longer. I'll be looking into finding another one to play.
5 ★Favorite "battle /city growing game" by far. I just keep coming back to it every time. No other game has this graphic layout or style and fun of earning $ in the game. I ignore all options to purchase and have a ton of fun. Later on building upgrades take way too long, and if the game becomes hard to raid for $ then just upgrade buildings and troops before the town center until it balances. <3
2 ★Core concept is good but the execution is poor. The A.I. is dumber than a bag of rocks which makes attacking more difficult than it should be. Also the resources and time it takes to upgrade anything Increases exponentially with each age (sometimes jumping a couple of million per age). This wouldn't be as big a problem if more control was given to the attacker during raids. As the games stand now I would say give it a try but dont expect much and dont invest the money.
