1 ★BE WARE! I tried using their 4 weeks free trial. I'm on my 2nd week of using it and they upgraded my subscription without my consent and charge my account 1447.99 php . I requested for a refund because i never agreed or ask for an upgrade. I send an email in their email support but they don't grant my request. It's not fair and i feel like i been scammed. Ps. Someone called me from their office about the upgrade of my subscription but i never agreed to it.
1 ★I see people complaining about not being able to unsubscribe, my advice is create a virtual card from your banking app and use its card number for online purchases. If a company gives you problems just delete the virtual card and you are sorted and make sure you keep your virtual card empty only top it up if you need to purchase something. Good thing about virtual cards is that it generates a new card number everytime you create one
1 ★What a useless creation!! Every time I tried to attend a class, the app kept displaying 'no internet connection' whereas my connection is working very well. Also I thought of subscribing but came across all the reviews and found that it's scamming people. Even their free trail has been charged and when requested for a refund, no answer or contact has been made by the company. Totally waste of time and money. Worst learning platform 'Shaw Academy'.
1 ★If I could only rate this without any stars, I would! This is a scam! I downloaded the app and entered my details because it said that it has a 1 month free trial! Just checked my bank account today and found out that Shaw Academy charged me twice which I did not authorize! I wasn't even able to finish atleast one of the videos because of my busy schedule! Tried to cancel the subscription or delete my details but it won't let me! This is absurd! I demand a refund!
1 ★I am extremely grateful for the people who took the time to write about this horrible "TR-APP"! I consider myself to be extremely fortunate as well! I wouldn't be one bit surprised to find out that NetSpend prepaid debit card company was owned by the same group of crooks. They are probably all demo-c-rats (JACKASSES)!
1 ★I'm not one to leave a negative review but if you want to be robbed for your money then do so by installing this app! I had trouble accessing the app so contacted the customer service team - extremely disappointing and unhelpful, they didn't help me - and told me I was unable to be refunded for the payments for the duration of time I've been unable to use the app, offered me better 'deals' but never actually helped me with my original issue to access the app in the first place! Bad communication
1 ★Fraud!! signed up for free trial and later I decide to not use and have been trying to cancel my subscription for a month now. The email service says they can't do anything, and i tried to cancel through app which also wants me to call on a number they never pick up. Other than that, i told their teacher to cancel it, she said she made a note on my account and i wont be charged. However, eventually, they deducted 70 dollar. Now, finaly customer service called me to tell that there's no refund.
1 ★Not a great app. I never really got to try the courses. It might be ok, but the pricetag is pretty hefty. The free trial is a joke. No one should have to go through four prompts with the option to continue to cancel subscription being grayed out until they ultimately have to call a number to cancel. Not to mention you can only call during business hours even though it's an automated process
1 ★I signed up for the free trial and they charged my credit card before the trial was over. They don't let you cancel without jumping through a bunch of hoops. Its a big scam, I do not recommend. Even after they charged me for the subscription, which was super expensive, they still sent me ads daily and it didn't even unlock all of the course materials.
1 ★Don't fall into this trap. Not a great app. They dont let you cancel your subscription or membership. Once you've already paid, it will continue until the end. Even if you want to cancel, you can't. Their main objective is to have your money even if you're no longer using it and if you wanted to end your subscription, they will not entertain it. Udemy is better and a good source of knowledge than this app.
1 ★Shaw academy is a really nice place to learn. Their courses are clear, easy to grasp, and well arranged. Their teachers are really good. But It shocks me how one can build something this great but decides to ruin it. They charge people for accidentally touching a button, and there is no confirmation before the money is deducted. I was charged twice for a certificate, and I touched the button accidentally. I've contacted their support twice but got no reply. It's been two weeks. What a shame.
1 ★I completed my free trial classes and assignments for proficient in nutrition;diploma course in early 2020* but unlocked the final module and assignment by paying ₹499 recently that was on 4th July 2021* through a mail from Shaw Academy which clearly stated that after unlocking and finishing the final assignment I would be rewarded with an e-certificate as a proof of completion of the course but didn't get any. It's more than a week ago I applied for refund too. Still nothing from Shaw academy.
