Mit der interaktiven Spiele-App „Be the Whale“ begebt ihr euch auf die abenteuerliche Reise eines Buckelwals durch die Ostsee.Buckelwale gehören zu den am weitesten wandernden Tierarten in den Meeren. Sie legen pro Jahr mehrere Tausend Kilometer zwischen ihren Kalbungsgebieten in den Tropen und den Nahrungsgründen in den Polargebieten zurück.
In der eigens für das Deutsche Meeresmuseum entwickelten App „Be the Whale“ schlüpft ihr in die Rolle eines jungen Buckelwals, der auf einer dieser Wanderrouten von seiner Mutter getrennt wird und sich in der Ostsee verschwommen hat.
Dabei erlebt ihr aus der Ich-Perspektive, welche Herausforderungen und Gefahren auf den jungen Wal in der Ostsee lauern. Fünf spannende Stationen in der Ostsee und Nordsee lassen euch in die Welt der Wale abtauchen. Wale, Meereslebensräume, Lebensweise und Gefahren wurden für die App in enger Abstimmung mit den Walforschern des Deutschen Meeresmuseums entworfen und naturgetreu dargestellt.
Die speziell für Smartphones und Tablets entwickelte App des Deutschen Meeresmuseums richtet sich an Kinder zwischen vier und zwölf Jahre. Sie kann kostenlos in den Appstores von Apple und Google heruntergeladen werden. Als Besucher des MEERESMUSEUMs und OZEANEUMs erwartet euch ein besonderes Zusatzlevel.
