Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★On launch, clicking the Login button immediately launches Chrome (regardless of default browser), which in turn requires agreeing to Chrome's Terms of Service to use. Can't even get past the login screen with anything else (i.e., Firefox). Surprising for a FOSS-admin tutorial site. EDIT: And yes, FF is the default browser. Goes Chrome regardless--even after clearing ALL default apps. Galaxy Tab, nothing exotic.
3 ★Great content, buggy inconsistent app that is currently playing in the background despite my attempts to close it. Also clicking complete upon a course item only seems to work a few times before it just spins the loading wheel and doesn't complete. I appreciate some people don't do this but I found it necessary to mark areas of study I was already familiar with.
1 ★Issues with latest version (seen when casting to TV). 1. Unable to "mark as complete" after clicking tick button. 2. Unable to play specific (lets say last) video in section. It briefly goes thru all other videos in section before finally playing the one you selected (takes atleast 2mins). 3. Unable to disconnect from TV casting even after hitting "Disconnect" button or closing the app. 4. Can we have autoplay feature, instead of having to manually select next video in list?
5 ★Great app for on the go learning with a whole load of content I would love to explore every last subject but in reality I don't think I could get through it all. Video play back is smooth and the instructor's use clear and to the point instructions for the content which is fantastic. There is a lot of support to help you through the subjects if you are struggling and they keep in touch with you and offer suggestions and to see how your progressing. All in all a great app and great people
1 ★I love LinuxAcademy and I recommended it a couple times. But I really don't know if this app is abandoned or what? The app Sucks. My course progress on the index page hasn't synced up with the web app since March. I've finished 3 courses and they're still shown as zombies. Newly started courses don't show up until I start them again on the app. I'm fine with it being basic, but at least get it to work as intended.
4 ★Awesome app for learning latest technology. I have one suggestion. When we download video and set it to download externally, the videos still downloads on my phone storage and not on sd card or usb storage. The thing is I have low phone storage and want these videos to be on external drive. Can you just take a review on this. Thanks
3 ★Fails to synchronise with activity through web browser; on that basis have uninstalled.
3 ★Very buggy on Bluetooth Devs: I use the app to listen to videos on the way to work. I switch out to Waze and keep this in the background. List of bugs: - load a track, switch to Waze and the track stops. Switch back, start again and it's ok - autoplay is broken. Playback stops - after a track is done, clicking on the next video doesn't refresh the video/play button. So if I hit play the same video just starts over. I have to kill the app to get to the next video. 👎
4 ★Pretty good. I'd like to be able to click the download button on a course and have it queue all unplayed lessons up to be downloaded when I'm next connected to WiFi (like Spotify, Pocket Casts, etc.). The current way of waiting till you're on WiFi and manually selecting each one is pretty old fashioned.
1 ★App usually don't syn properly with your schedule, The content is too small that you cannot use this app to go though the content. I would not recommend any one to go for linuxacadmey if you are using mobile app or small screen, you cannot have this app offline in PC , Windows. So good content is just failing because of poor delivery of content.
1 ★Edit: changed to 1 star after finding that the trial blocks lab access unless you spam your friends or grant access to your LinkedIn account, I'm not going to pay $379 for something I can't full test -- Lesson delivery doesn't feel natural and not engaging, feels like a manual or written notes being read out -- Shady "charge $379 at the end of the free trial" tactics -- Shady attempts to partially hide the Suspend Subscription link (small light grey text on white background) -- Lab coverage is haphazard/very limited, would be easier and cheaper to follow a how-to (for AZ-500) -- Bad mobile app: choppy audio and doesn't track progress properly
1 ★After viewing lectures in Chrome on my phone, I clicked the "Take Quiz" link. "Oh, you're on a mobile device; you have to use the app to take the quiz. But this app has no method to get to a learning path, so no chance to take the quiz! Super lame. Uninstalling as soon as I finish this review.
