Severe weather alerts for your exact location. Storm Shield gives you storm-based alerts for tornado, hurricane, flood, thunderstorm, winter storms and other life-threatening weather events via voice and push notification.
Storm-based alerts help reduce false alarms by alerting you to severe weather based on your exact location within a county. County-based alerts can result in false alarms, warning you when your location in the county is not within the threatened area.

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Wow worked good we thought. Even gave fog alert in middle of night a few nights ago. Then. Today we found out a tornado was heading in our direction (we had only a drizzle ..no thunder ..nothing to cause alarm) so a tornado heading out way...and NO alert at all nothing nada . But did not come up all the way to us ..but. Omg this was a huge disappointment ...scary. Looking for a new app
1 ★Not free. You can't do anything besides see current radar. You have to buy a subscription to see anything else, past or future. Annoying notifications. Uninstalled.
5 ★I've been using the Android version of that app for a little over a year now, and it is outstanding for me. You can pick up to five saved locations (one of which can be your dynamically updating current location) that the app continually monitors for NWS severe weather alerts. There have been times that it notifies me about new alerts so fast that when I click on the link, the NWS hasn't even gotten the full text for the alert posted yet. There was a tornado warning for my location a couple of weeks or so ago, and Storm Shield is where I heard about it first. My phone's emergency notification didn't go off until about 2-3 minutes later, and the local TV stations didn't pick up on it until about 5 minutes later (by which time my apartment could have already been destroyed, huh?). Storm Shield beat them all to the punch.
1 ★I paid for this app a few years ago. I was able to set location manually then. I can't now. I'm missing important alerts because of this. I don't like to keep location on on my phone because it uses too much battery plus I live in an area where we don't show up on Google Maps or on the post offices area. Google has their information wrong and we're having a hard time getting it fixed. Before when I could set my location manually I was able to get alerts for my area. I just missed an important thunderstorm warning because of this flaw. They need to restore the ability to set location manually. Otherwise this app is worthless.
3 ★It's a great weather app, but I am having the same issues as the recent reviews. I have a new Samsung Galaxy S10Ee. It won't find current location, or when I type location in, pinpoint, and tap "Set Location", the app does not do anything. This app is useless until an updated version is available that fixes these issues to make it usable on older devices.
1 ★Dear developers... I used to love this app! I'm in Denver, it is stopped giving audible alerts, even tornado warnings, severe t-storm warnings even though I could get them on NOAA Weather Radio, hear them live in person, not on my phone. Graphically yes, but that's not helpful if I'm asleep. I just uninstalled it. It won't Auto renew next year, will it? I'm afraid I need to move to a different app.
1 ★Could not find my location. Would not find via wifi, entering a zip code, or the name of my city. Had signed up for the premium package. Since I have no access, that was canceled without using it. Also will be unstalling the app. What a waste. In reference to the developer reply, it it is still broke. When & if retrieving info for a given location gets fixed let me know. Then I will decide whether it deserves more than single star.
1 ★I also paid $4.99 for this app a few years ago. With that subscription purchase, it allowed me to at least loop future radar. Now, they want me to pay a monthly subscription for something I already paid for. Justify it as you wish, but I'm disappointed that you've taken away what people have already paid you for. I understand paying for NEW things, just not taking away features already paid for.
1 ★Seems they needed a more optimized way to money grab. I've used the NOAA app for years and slowly saw it add ways for them to make more money out of it. Rebranding it and making it more "streamlined" while asking you to pay for extra features that can easily be found on the internet for free isn't worth my time or money. Darn shame.
2 ★really need to simplify the interface. you have to set every single alert, individually, and pick an alert sound and style for every one... takes forever to setup. give us a general "level" (extreme, severe, etc.) of alert... and an option to have a global sound/ and option to override do not disturb and I'll consider it again. but I don't have hours to setup each individual alert.... Scripps does great with news and weather but this app doesn't reflect that.
4 ★Its good but needs a few more features. First, there should be an option to disable saved location markers on the map since it takes up all of the radar. The reason why I have 100+ saved locations since I am a weather forecaster. Second, the precipitation radar only covers North America, Europe, and Asia rather than the whole globe. Thirdly, when opening the current forecast for the city it only gives you a small menu rather than a big menu. UV, Air Quality, Covid, and storm reports are missing.
3 ★I love getting the weather warnings on my phone, they are accurate and fast. I love the setup too. I wish the radar was more current however. I noticed on the bottom right of the radar screen that sometimes the radar is behind by 5 up to 15 minutes. That's not good if you have something severe coming and you need to know about it. That's my only suggestion-make the radar more current.
