Play a large range of crosswords. All use the usual American style grids, such as is used in the NY Times, USA Today and many other newspapers

Note that all the answers and clues use US English spellings, and that the general knowledge clues are tailored for US players.

Features:

• You can zoom in & out of the grid, and move around, making it possible to play larger grids even on smaller screens
• There is a large range of built in grids, from sizes 11x11, 13x13 and 15x15 at different difficulty levels. Most have just 16% black squares, per the standard definition
• In addition a new grid of sizes up to 8x8 can be generated on-the-fly by the app, meaning unlimited games to play
• Many 1000's of clues, both straight and general knowledge
• Choose between US or UK English spellings
• General knowledge questions tailored to your country (currently US, UK, Australia and Canada)
• Ability to save and reload games, so several games can be played at the same time
• Numerous aids in case you get stuck, e.g. validate word/letter, reveal word and even a built-in crossword solver to show potential matches

3 ★Clue: fact / answer: gospel. Reusing the Roman numerals and a few other clues where having the opinion of the makers is key. It's an okay app but I'll try to find one that's a smidge more neutral.

1 ★It keeps making me buy games I've already bought, and depletes my coins for no apparent reason. Help desk never responds to questions about issues with app. Definitely deleting it.

3 ★6/7/18 I've played this game for years now & it got a glitch so I reinstalled it. Not knowing it would happen, i lost all of my previously played games. 8/10/19 I'm not sure how i did it but I seemed to have moved the book i was doing & now my puzzles seem different.

3 ★I love the game. Love its free. Just would love to play a single game without an app popping up to interrupt. BTW if I don't open it the first time...Am Not interested. !! Geez

5 ★It took me a while to figure out how to choose which puzzle to play. I feel like it's not very intuitive. But the game play is easy and the puzzles are properly challenging. I like it a lot!

1 ★D day is operation overlord not overload. Lots of wrong answers from the app vendor.

3 ★Some truly, truly bizzare puzzle answers. Definitely not remotely American based, not even British Isles based clues and answers. Lots of French, German words, lots of abbreviations. The game play is very well done. Easy to use. The ads are not annoying enough to make one pay to play. I would be more likely to pay if the clues and words were more well thought out.

5 ★Puzzles are not the easiest nor too hard. Works great on my phone. Wish it had a switch direction button near the keyboard. Lots of good features.

5 ★This is the best crossword puzzle app that I've come across. I'm not a professional as far as these puzzles go but I really enjoy them

3 ★Every puzzle is the same shape. I like more variety. And too many answers are abbreviated forms of the words. That makes finding the right answer more complicated.

4 ★Sometimes the clues are too arcane/obscure which frustrates me and takes some of the fun out of it. Otherwise, it's one of the better ones I've done.

2 ★For an English crossword, many, many French, German, Spanish words, plus letter codes for countries, currencies and airports - some of which are quite obscure. Google helps, of course. But what's the point of that?
