5 ★This works just like the game I remember as a kid. Very similar to Mille Bornes. I wish I could add my name or change the color of the car but that is trivial.
3 ★I have seen times when a computer player threw away a card that they could have used; these are mostly hazard cards. The game also grants extension bonuses when nobody has made a 1000 mile trip; this should never happen. I have also seen computer players call for extensions while the deck is empty; not smart. Not smart at all.
2 ★I grew up playing with the French language cards (and we still play with the cards) and I really enjoy a challenging opponent in games like this. However, I have found this to be extremely CPU-biased on any setting above 'easy'. You start with a roll card and the next move they hit you with a hazard, the remedy for which never shows up before they hit the 1,000 miles for the hand less than 4 or 5 moves later.
5 ★It's a fun program. I've played a few many times and sometimes I wonder if it's cheating because it's getting the saftey's more often. Another observation is that it almost always uses 200 until it reaches the 700 destination. I'll keep playing to learn if that's as often as it seems. I've noticed when the draw pile is empty the discard sound becomes louder than it was. The sound also plays twice together, slightly overlapped.
5 ★A good rendition of the card game. It helps to know the rules before playing, though, since it only identifies an illegal play after you try to make it. Maybe it could gray out or otherwise mark cards that you may not use, or that you no longer need.
4 ★I love this card game. My only issues are that the music gets repetitive and sometimes the AI is questionable. I have noticed it discarding hazard cards that that could have been played on me.
3 ★I had just put Gas Truck in my pile to solve out of gas. Had the Right of Way, so didn't need a Go. Forgot to take a card, tried to put a 100. It blips and tells me to take a card first. So I press the pile... I get a card AND PUTS MY 100 ON THE DISCARD PILE!!! I lost my card AND my turn!!!
2 ★The default settings irritate me. This included the lame music, the sound effects, the less than optimum playing style of the computer opponent, the slowness of the computer opponent, ill conceived animations, and the lack of a remaining card counter. All these can be adjusted in the Settings. That's good. But the Settings don't stick and I have to apply them every time I start the app. That totally sucks. I have not deleted the app but I will as soon as someone comes up with an amenable Mille Bornes style game.
5 ★Used to play back in 80's a lot. Been looking for to buy. I found this last night and can't stop playing. Very addictive... Remember why we loved as kids. We had the actual cards. So glad I found this game.
5 ★I've played MB on lots of platforms over the years, and didn't think I could find a good one for Android. This is very true to the game and plays well.
5 ★I just learned the card game last week, and really liked it. This version is true to it and lots of fun! Havent had any problems either. Its a win!
3 ★There shouldn't be a time limit to setting down a safety for a coup fourre. Also, in playing 3 player against the computers, android 1 seems to always play a hazard against player 1 regardless of a tied mileage between player 1 and android 2. Android 2 almost always immediately has the anecdote to hazards played against it. It would be nice if computers wouldn't pass/discard mileage cards to other computers that are the last card needed to win.
