Description
The CARDI Small Ruminants Programme aims at helping farmers in the sheep and goat industry to increase productivity through the use of best practice husbandry and enterprise management techniques.To aid in this goal, the Caribbean Agriculture Research and Development Institute(CARDI) in collaboration with The University of the West Indies(UWI) AgriNeTT Team seek to implement an E-Learning Platform. This platform is used to store information regarding Small Ruminants Production and through the usage of various modules seeks to provide a holistic platform to aid those in the Small Ruminants industry.
The platform consists primarily of a web-based system found at http://csrp.cardi.org/. However, the mobile application attempts to provide similar functionality that has been optimized for the smaller screens, internet connectivity, and a variety of mobile devices used within the Small Ruminants industry in the Caribbean.

Features of the application includes:
- browse the content of your courses, even when offline
- receive instant notifications of messages and other events
- quickly find and contact other people in your courses
- upload images, audio, videos and other files from your mobile device
- view your course grades
The app requires the following permissions:
- Record audio: For recording audio to upload to the main csrp website
- Read and modify the contents of your SD card: Contents are downloaded to the SD Card so you can see them offline
- Network access: To be able to connect to your Moodle site and check if you are connected or not to switch to offline mode
- Run at startup: So you receive local notifications even when the app is running in the background
- Prevent phone from sleeping: So you can receive push notifications anytime
