Interaksi antar ruang kemudian mempengaruhi kehidupan ekonomi, sosial, budaya dan pendidikan.
Buku ini disusun untuk mendukung implementasi kurikulum 2013 yang mengedepankan aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Karena itu, buku ini dilengkapi dengan aktivitas individu dan kelompok sebagai panduan bagi peserta didik dalam melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran. Guru dapat memodifkasi dan mengembangkan aktivitas tersebut sesuai dengan kondisi dan kebutuhan lokal daerahnya masing-masing.
