Description
'Maths For Kids' is an educational maths game for kids of various ages (and adults too). It helps to increase your calculating power through regular practice. You have option to choose mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, find smallest, find greatest, power) that you want use in the game, and also set the game level from trivial to hard based on your needs. It stores top 10 results so you can review your scores as required.There are two kinds of game you can play.
1. TimePlay
On the main window, you select the game level and click 'TimePlay'. In this type, each game is played for 60 seconds. At the end of the game, your score summary will be displayed. If your score is in top 10 results, you will be given an option to save the score with your name. These results can be viewed from 'To 10 Scores' menu in the main window later.
2. Practice
On the main window, you select the game level and click 'Practise'. In this type, there is no time limit. You can play as long you want, you will not be able to store your results as it is not time bound.
Game Level:
There are 4 levels in the game, Trivial, Easy, Medium and Hard. Your question difficulty will be chosen based on the level.
Operation Selections:
On the main window, you can select the arithmetic operations you want to use in the game, by clicking on the 'Operation Selection' menu on the top action bar(button with '+ - x /' symbols). These selections will be saved and used for all you future games.
How to play:
Once you start the game(by pressing one of the two game type buttons in main window), your game starts. You will be challenged with questions and you have to choose the correct answer from 4 options shown below. Once you choose the correct answer, the answer will turn green with a tick mark and the score box on top right corner will be updated and your next question will display. If you select an incorrect answer, that answer will turn red with an x mark and you have to select other answers. If you selected 3 wrong answers, you loose that question and next question will be displayed.
Scores:
During the game, your score will be updated for each correct answer. There is no negative scores. If you answer correctly on first attempt, you will be awarded 8 points, if you answer correctly on second attempt, you will be awarded 6 points and so on."
Stopping the game:
During the game, you can stop the game at any point by clicking 'Stop' menu action bar on top right corner. At that time, if your score is in top 10, you will be able to save the score for later review."
Sound:
During the game, you can choose to switch audio feedback ON or OFF for the answers you are choosing by clicking the speaker button on the top left corner of the window.
