Der Domschatz Minden ist eine der bedeutendsten Sammlungen christlicher Kunst in Deutschland. Mit der Gründung des Bistums Minden um 800 ist er in rund 1200 Jahren zusammengetragen worden. In der im Jahr 2017 neu eröffneten Domschatzkammer am Kleinen Domhof, nur wenige Meter vom Dom zu Minden entfernt, werden die wertvollen Exponate ausgestellt und der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht. Darunter das berühmte Mindener Kreuz aus der Zeit um 1100, für das Besucher aus aller Welt in die ostwestfälische Kreisstadt kommen, um es zu betrachten. Mehr als ein Dutzend der gezeigten Pretiosen gelten als "von europäischem Rang", wie der Petrischrein, das Armreliquiar der hl. Margarethe oder der Gießlöwe, den Heinrich der Löwe im Jahr 1168 dem Bistum zum Geschenk gemacht haben soll. In der Domschatz-Bibliothek sind Werke ausgestellt, die bis in das 15. Jahrhundert zurückgehen. Soweit konservatorisch vertretbar, werden einzelne Stücke der Sammlung auch noch liturgisch genutzt.
