قال تعالى (قُلْ ما يَعْبَؤُا بِكُمْ رَبِّي لَوْ لا دُعاؤُكُمْ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزاماً) سورة الفرقان، الآية 77آداب الدعاء
1ـ البسملة. 2ـ التمجيد. 3ـ الصلاة على النبي وآله. 4ـ الاستشفاع بالصالحين. 5ـ الاقرار بالذنب. 6ـ التضرع والابتهال. 7ـ الصلاة ركعتين. 8ـ أن لا يستصغر شيئاً من الدعاء. 9ـ أن لا يستكثر مطلوبه. 10ـ أن يكون عالي الهمة فيما يطلبه. 11ـ تعميم الدعاء. 12ـ الاسرار بالدعاء. 13ـ الاجتماع في الدعاء. 14ـ حسن الظن بالاجابة. 15ـ اختيار الأوقات المناسبة. 16ـ الالحاح
للدّعاء دوره في معرفة الله، كما له دوره في عبادة الله بالتذلّل والخضوع والخشوع والاستغراق الروحي في التعبير عن الحاجة المطلقة ـ في وجود الإنسان ـ لله الغنيّ المطلق، بحيث تتحرّك العبادة في الجوّ والمضمون والإيحاء.
فإنّ قيمة الدعاء، أنه ينفتح بالإنسان على الله ليطوف بفكره في مواقع عظمته، ومجالات نعمته، ليتعرّف إليه في كل صفة من صفاته، وكل اسمٍ من أسمائه، ما يفرض عليه الانتقال من أفقٍ إلى أفقٍ، ومن فكرة إلى فكرة. فإذا عاش هذا الجوّ الفكري الروحي المملوء بمفردات العقيدة وظواهر الكون وحركة الحياة، ورأى أثر ذلك في الوجود كله، وفاعليته في وجوده بالذات، امتلأت ذاته بعظمة ربّه، وشعر بالامتنان لنعمه، فكان الحمد لله تعبيراً عن كل ذلك الجوّ، وحيويّة ذلك الشعور، وحركية العبودية في الوجدان
