A Chave de Identificação das Famílias de Angiospermas da UFRPE (CIA UFRPE) é um aplicativo capaz de identificar 20 espécies e 13 famílias de angiospermas encontradas no campus da UFRPE. Ele foi desenvolvido para auxiliar alunos de graduação principalmente em aulas práticas.O aplicativo possui ferramentas que auxiliam o aluno no momento da identificação, tais como “Estou com dúvida”, onde o aluno pode consultar o respectivo termo da chave caso esteja com dificuldades para compreender os termos. Além do mais, possui um glossário com diversos termos botânico, na opção Menu da tela inicial.
Ao final da chave terá uma pequena descrição das características da família e uma foto corresponde à planta identificada.
