A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★This is a very good app. Tons of reading material and always adding new stuff. Personally I'd like the English translation just to check my understanding, but it's not a deal breaker. It's so much nicer to discover new vocabulary through reading rather than grinding away at vocab lists. If it's within your budget then it's a must for mandarin students.
4 ★Mind blowing amounts of of content and across both reading and listening, all graded to your ability so you can challenge yourself appropriately. Only criticism is that the audio player for articles is clunky and not conducive to casual listening, and that because content is news based, there can quite a lot of proper nouns in the vocab, which isn't very useful at beginner/intermediate stages IMO.
3 ★A great learning resource that definitely helps improve my chinese. Stars removed because finding the standard subscriptions (as opposed to the week/2 week unlocks) is impossible in the app. The flashcard system is clunky and unintuitive. The dictionary pop up bugs out a lot. If they polished this up a little then I'd be happy to pay more.
4 ★Great content, lots of variety across all HSK levels and an overall user friendly interface. Quite happy about my subscription so far. However, just want to point out a couple of issues: the speed changer doesn't seem to work at all. From other reviews I've seen here, this appears to be a common issue. Additionally, the UI is quite a bit laggy, which leads me to have to force stop the app at times and then restart it. Hopefully these issues will be solved soon. Keep up the good work!
3 ★Upside : The lessons are good. It has stories and articles with playable audio, with questions after story for exercises, video lessons, all classified accordingly. Downside: Almost everything is premium. I would really consider premium account if everything works properly as the contents worth it. However, subscription choices always loading. Video also can't be played. P. S: It would be perfect if there is translations for full sentence and sentence pointer when audio played for articles.
5 ★Excellent resouce, excellent content excellent app and excellent service. Resource: Having premade articles at my level at my fingertips means I can always be improving my Chinese. The dictionary system is smooth and convenient. Content: The articles are interesting and varied and always new ones too. Great motivation. App: Everything is clear and intuitive. Nothing interrupting my study time. Service: Got a prompt reply helping with what turned out to be an issue with my phone settings.
3 ★The content is interesting, but the quality of the app (as well as the website) is dreadful: the UI overall feels very outdated, the reading settings don't get preserved and I have to change them again and again, the recording speed adjustment doesn't work, etc. Also having a recorded audio is nice, but it's not synced with the text, which would be very helpful for learning. I subscribed, but got rather disappointed and won't renew. Good content with a lot of potential, but a bad implementation.
2 ★Up until recently I would have given this app a 4 star to 5 star rating. However, the new UI is a catastrophe. On my current Android 10, the character spacing is terrible. Characters on one line are almost on top of characters on the next line. Changing size doesn't help much. And navigation is really a big step backwards in comparison the previous version. In short the new UI is a failure. Go back to your last version UI and just make small incremental improvements. Please.
5 ★Have tried many "editor's choice" learning app but nothing beats this for mandarin. It's not cheap but in my view, it is worth every penny. Besides, I had almost instantaneous response and assistance when I had problem logging in. It is always reassuring to know that developer who has enjoyed tremendous success still makes room for prioritising its subscribers' emails.
4 ★Great app! Some feedback: - When doing word association in a quiz, dont display 'correct' in the middle of the screen as it slows me down and blocks my view. - Handwriting function to learn characters is slow and not useful compared to other apps. Not that important to be in this app, but an area to improve. - Clicking on a news title doesnt explain the character but instead translates it to/from English. What about allowing a long press for the character explanation popup? That'd be so useful!
5 ★In my experience, The Chairman's Bao is the best app for learning Chinese. It's good for both reading and listening comprehension (I usually start by listening to the text, then read it and then listen again). I have had no problems with bugs and all I can wish for is better translations for some of the characters and a better system to study flashcards.
4 ★I've just wished they had some English translation of the text so I can check that I'm actually translating the information correctly. It sometimes is hard to know if I'm understanding the information in the right way. There is another Chinese language learning app that allows you to toggle the English translation on and off which is really handy so you can check if you are reading the texts correctly. Apart from this, I really like it up and have renewed my subscription several times.
