【秘書技能検定とは】
秘書技能検定は文部科学省が認定する公的資格であり、秘書に関連する資格の中では最も人気のあるものです。年間約２０万人が受験しており、試験開始からこれまでに５００万人以上が受験しています。秘書技能検定は秘書技能を問う資格試験ですが、秘書に必要な能力はオフィスで働く一般女性にも共通して求められている能力なので、秘書職に限らずオフィス実務に従事する多くの人を対象としてます。
この検定の目標は「人柄育成」であり、言葉遣いや話し方の調子、見た目の印象、態度などが一般の水準を越えているかを測る試験となっています。検定は１級、準１級、２級、３級の４段階に分かれており、2級のレベルは以下のようになっています。

秘書検定２級は大学生の受験者割合が最も多く、
３級よりも深い知識を要求されます。

女子大生をはじめとした大学生の割合が最も多い理由になるでしょう。
