تطبيق جامعة المثنى وهي احدى الجامعات العراقية الحكومية الكبيرة والتي تأسست عام 2007 , تقع جامعة المثنى في محافظة المثنى (السماوة) الواقعة في جنوب العراق و على ضفاف نهر الفرات تضم حاليا 15 كلية طبية وعلمية وانسانية و تعتبرجامعة المثنى واحدة من الجامعات العراقية الكبيرة المرموقة في مجال التعليم الجامعي و التعليم العالي و البحث العلمي، و تتوزع في ثلاث مجمعات أساسية تقع جميعها في مدينة السماوة.الحرم الجامعي المركزي يقع شمال مدينة السماوة على الطريق الرابط بين السماوة والرميثة ، وهو أكبر المجمعات من حيث المساحة وعدد الكليات.
و يليه مجمع الكليات الطب والصيدلة الواقع في وسط مدينة السماوة بحي القشلة.
وتقع كلية طب الاسنان والطب البيطري على ضفاف نهر الفرات في حي القشلة ايضا.
