2 ★Think this game is cool when you start out. The game even teases you with locked characters in the first few missions. Realizing shortly after that its basically requiring you to spend money to progress anywhere in the game unless you want to play the same levels over and over and over again.
5 ★This game gives a lot for free. If you want to play to win and earn heroes you can, a little discipline goes a long way. I've been looking for a good tower defense game and this is what I wanted. Everything is straight forward, easy to understand in a couple minutes for the leveling system, and has so much packed in it. The designers really expanded the game and thought of a lot to add to make it not another tower defense game.
3 ★If you want to end up wasting time, play this game. It can be good. I played this game for over a month, but it is not good enough to continue. It got ridiculous as I'm not going to go the ez route and pay for ways to advance, nor am I going to keep on relying on luck, rather than rely on strategy to finish levels. I'm primarily talking about the 'Arcade' section. I'd rather this game charge me up front 4 bucks, then I could advance through the game because of skill and strategy.
4 ★So far this has been my favorite fantasy tower defense game on mobile. However there are also some cons. PROS: Lots of hero's, Gems not too hard to collect, each world has new towers/upgrades, an online tournament, not too easy not too challenging. CONS: Between each world you are forced to either buy the new world or spend your gems on heros for instant access. The world's go by fairly fast so you will want to go into the next world but are kept away from it until you meet certain criteria.
1 ★The game play itself is great. The problem is that you hit blocks where you must decide between grinding out a bunch of side quests or spending money to continue with the main levels. Even though you already beat the previous ones. Pretty much it's a fun/challenging game but its sole purpose is money trap. Edit: My response to the developer's response, BS. My previous comment still remains accurate. You can grind out a ton of side thing to earn enough gems to continue with the main levels or you can pay. There are numerous points in the game where you hit such a road block. The game is f2p only on technicality, it's a money trap, don't let the devs fool you.
1 ★Tons of bugs. Instructs you to click on update button which brings you to Play store and choices are to Uninstall or Play. You end up losing several competitive days to play the tournament until they fix the update bug. If you Uninstall and reinstall, you will be stuck at level 2 for days until they fix the bug because they disallow game save restoration unless you have the latest update. Happens frequently.
1 ★Probably the most pay to win game I've ever seen, the first few maps are great but it devolves quickly. Incredibly unfun enemies and levels at around map 4. The towers do little damage and it's apparent that the heroes are meant to do a bulk of the work but the heroes you can unlock without in game currency or cheaply are worthless late game. The stronger characters cost a LOT and would take months to unlock by playing the daily missions. You can evolve heroes but that is just as expensive.
1 ★The game has some good concepts and content early on. However, it quickly turns into a play-to-win game that artificially gates campaign/content progression on months of grinding. Even worse, to be competitive in tournaments, the most fun aspect of the game, new players need to pay a lot or grind for six months. By then all supposedly good decisions they made would have become obsolete; so grind/pay some more. Lot's of trap options for new players, each of which adds a month of grinding?! Avoid.
2 ★Great game, great heros, poor gem pricing structure makes game unplayable. means your only as good as the money you have put in the game. prefer the dev just charge for the game like mario run. We get it pay to play model very profitable but will limit you fan base to a degree. Charge a one time fee to play I would have done it. Whats insane is the gem cost to upgrade heros. 800 gems to move to each level and is the same for each level after. This should be a scaling cost not set cost.
4 ★Came back after awhile. Levels become harder as progress. But still fun since this allows play offline, great option when there's no wifi available. And they have more worlds and levels too now. Too many complain need buy gems but so far have been doing just fine playing it free. They give you enough gems to save up for heroes (just depends which you choose). This app is frustrating that it occasionally crashes before it launches. So just beware and save progress.
5 ★*Update: After playing for several months this game is still a ton of fun! I like the different worlds and that there is enough, but not too much, to do every day. Most games don't last on my phone and get deleted after a month but this one is a keeper! I like the graphics and gameplay.* Fun tower-defense style game. Does take a while to open new levels but there is enough to do in the meantime.
5 ★Fun tower-defense game. Not pay-to-win. Customer service is slow but good. The game definitely gets more challenging as I go along, which is great. It seems a bit overly complicated. For example, each of your heroes has a level and a rank and abilities and "awakenings" to level up. I guess that's for people who play for months and need a little more to do.
