Los Libros de Texto Digitales Interactivos son un concepto educativo innovador. Desarrollados para mejorar la educación con el uso de tecnología e impulsar la culminación del proceso formativo de los alumnos en educación básica y en especial para los estudiantes con discapacidad integrados al sistema educativo.Presentan de manera sincronizada la imagen y el audio de los libros de texto de primaria y permiten a los estudiantes realizar en ellos las actividades educativas requeridas y a los maestros revisarlas.
Gracias a la tecnología de reconocimiento de voz que utilizan, los estudiantes con discapacidad visual, pueden dictar las respuestas a las actividades y la aplicación las almacena.
Esta aplicación corresponde al Libro de Texto Gratuito que publica la Secretaría de Educación Pública para Educación Artística de Cuarto Año de Primaria.
La Tecnología necesaria para producir la aplicación fue desarrollada por el Dr. Miguel Alvarez Gómez.
Para la transformación de los Libros de Texto, que se imprimen en papel, a la versión Digital Interactiva que presenta la aplicación se contó con la colaboración de alumnos de la carrera de Ingeniería en Comunicación Multimedia y de la Maestría en Tecnologías para el Aprendizaje del Centro Universitario de la Costa de la Universidad de Guadalajara.
