Description
ScanKids es una aplicación gamificada destinada a niños de entre 6 y 12 años que tienen que someterse a una prueba de diagnóstico por imagen en un hospital. Muchos de estos niños afrontan las pruebas con el temor de no saber qué les van a hacer, si les dolerá y si tendrán que pasar mucho tiempo solos. El objetivo de la aplicación es conocer qué pueden esperar y perder el miedo a las pruebas. La app les enseña, con términos comprensibles para un público infantil y animaciones 3D de las salas y de los aparatos, qué pasos tienen que seguir en cada momento y qué pueden esperar de cada prueba.ScanKids incluye las cinco pruebas de diagnóstico por imagen más habituales para los niños en un hospital: Rayos X, TAC, Resonancia Magnética, Ecografía y Telemando. Los pequeños, guiados por sus padres, cuidadores o profesionales sanitarios, deben elegir la prueba y la zona anatómica que se va a analizar. A partir de ese momento, un personaje, niño o niña, les acompaña en todos los pasos a seguir.
Al finalizar la explicación de las pruebas, hay dos juegos relacionados con la anatomía que permiten entretenerse y aprender: un esqueleto al que hay que colocar los huesos, y un lanzador de bolas.
La app es una iniciativa de la Fundación CurArte y el Hospital Vall d’Hebron de Barcelona con la financiación de The Philips Foundation. Desarrollada por ComSalud, está disponible en castellano y catalán.
