5 ★I like the 6 simple machines!
3 ★It´s quite good but I´m a bit underwhelmed. My six year son played this as his first tinybop app this evening. It consists of five or six applets demonstrating simple machines and mechanical principles. Some are more engaging than others and the X.Ray facility is a nice touch (although not much developed). What I really wanted to see was something that would give him a real sense of mechanical principles that could be experimented with. This doesn´t, although it is sort of a nice conversation piece for a six year old, e.g. "look at how that sort of bicycle is not very stable." I´ve read so much about the company I was really expecting great things comparable with dragonbox or tocaboca - the best makers of serious games for small children on android. So I am holding this to the highest standards. But ... it just sort of , quite diverting and nicely animated. But I can´t imagine it holding the interest of a six year old for more than a couple of hours. Nicely made and inventive but lacking in depth. He wanted back to minecraft very quickly. .. What is dissapointing, is after months, no new apps after paying for the subscription. I hoped for more from Tinybop.

2 ★I got the game Simple Machines but could not play it unless I purchased asubscription to go with it. My son was very dissapointed. I would ratherjust purchase the game vs paying for a monthly subscription. I would alsoappreciate knowing up front that this will require a subscription.
