Description
The English 2 Khmer Trial Version application is an Audio 3-way Travel Dictionary with integrated phrase book and simplified translator for easy use. It includes accurate off-line translation via voice recognition, but for the voice recognition to work, you must have it set on American English, not British. Translations can be edited, played back as one sentence, saved and/or exported to other apps for text-messaging, bluetooth, email etc. Includes Text-to-speech translation for english words. This allows you to use the autoplay features for lessons without looking at the english meanings on the screen. It's also useful for learning english for Native Khmer speakers. The translations of each word of all phrases are shown separately so you can understand them and verify the accuracy easier which is a vast improvement over other translators. It also has phonetic and Khmer search and browse features, (1,2,3) a question mode (Q) where all the content shows only English until you touch it, 13 topics, adjustable speed auto-play, word analysis explaining characters,(if you want to learn to read KHMER) a slide show feature for all content and 100 lessons, choice of colors, text size, lots of formatting and display options and more.You can search for translations by typing in a letter and scrolling, you can type Khmer or English, or the phonetic Khmer sounds, or you can speak English into it.
Look common phrases up by topic or browse the content. It's targeted for English speakers, but also useful to Khmer speakers. You change dictionaries by tapping the number at the bottom of most screens, (1) English to Khmer (2) Phonetic Khmer to English (3) Khmer to English. You can test androids voice recognition of American English with a free app first to see how it performs. This app uses the same one all google apps do to select the verified translations recorded to audio.
3 search buttons allows you to have more or fewer results.
The audio volumes are loud and clear so you can play them for people until you learn to speak them!
