Unisa Radio is the African voice... we strive to be Unisa’s voice that will bridge the gap between Unisa and its communities.Unisa Radio endeavours to become a dynamic and vibrant online streaming talk radio station in South Africa and the international sphere.
Unisa Radio is a campus, community-based and volunteer-run radio station that seeks to provide an opportunity for students to get practical exposure and training in broadcasting.
Unisa Radio also seeks to provide a channel for students, employees and management of Unisa to articulate the vision of Unisa, to raise concerns and to seek resolutions for immediate problems.
Our station aims to reach a vast majority of Unisa students through mobile and online streaming as it believes that radio is a tool for education, information and development.
Unisa Radio will provide information that is of Unisa community interest which will cover almost everything that happens at Unisa (including all regions) such as conferences, public dialogue and special addresses. Unisa Radio aims to serve, with particular regard, those overlooked and under-represented by other media and to create a dialogue for the exchange of cultural and intellectual ideas.
In light of that, Unisa Radio programming focuses on academic content including educational shows, career guidance, job opportunities, Unisa student lifestyles, student’s entertainment, campus news and student support.
