Diese App ist der digitale Begleiter durch die neue Dauerausstellung des Städtischen Museums im Schloss Isny.Spannende Themen der Isnyer Stadtgeschichte von den Römern bis zur Corona-Pandemie gibt es zu entdecken. In den Themenräumen werden Fragen wie „Wer hat welches Bild von der Stadt?“ oder „Welche Objekte repräsentieren den erfolgreichen Wintersport?“ anschaulich beantwortet. Was Isny jedoch ausmacht, sind die Menschen, die hier leben oder gelebt haben. Aus den einzelnen Geschichten, Erinnerungen und Objekten der Isnyer ergibt sich Geschichte - ohne Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit, jedoch lebendig und unverwechselbar.
Das Besondere an dieser App ist, dass sie unauffällige Objekte zum „Erzählen“ bringt. Außerdem gibt es für Familien bei der SPURENSUCHE acht Isnyer Persönlichkeiten zu finden.
Die App basiert auf der Beacon-Technologie. Ein Beacon ist ein kleiner Bluetooth-Funksender, der sich automatisch mit dem Smartphone verbindet.

In Beacon-Nähe angelangt, gibt es eine Reaktion: Videos, O-Töne, Fotos, Zeitungsartikel, und Illustrationen ergeben eine weitere inhaltliche Ebene. Besonders wertvolle und klima- und lichtempfindliche Objekte aus Privatbesitz oder dem Museumsdepot können so unkompliziert zugänglich gemacht werden. Überraschend, kurzweilig und informativ.
