Perlunya upaya mendukung Gerakan Literasi Nasional dalam bentuk pendidikan literasi budaya dan kewargaan dan menumbuhkan kepekaan toleransi pada digital natives di Indonesia merupakan salah satu hal yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Sejumlah permasalahan yang menjadi pemantik latar belakang tersebut diantaranya permasalahan tentang literasi budaya dan kewargaan terkait dengan keberadaan tiga wujud/gatra bahasa di Indonesia. Namun kepentingan dan fungsi masing-masing tiga bahasa ini masih belum disadari oleh para digital natives sebagai potret kerukunan dan toleransi yang harus dijaga. Padahal dalam kerangka NKRI, trigatra bahasa ini, yaitu bahasa Indonesia, bahasa daerah dan bahasa asing, masing-masing memiliki posisi penting sebagai alat pemersatu utama, simbol kebhinekaan yang harus dilestarikan, dan salah satu parameter daya saing suatu bangsa di dunia. Kemudian, terkait penggunaan bahasa dalam tuturan keseharian di dunia maya. Data menunjukkan bahwa 49,52% warganet adalah digital natives, yaitu generasi penutur asli teknologi yang mampu menggunakan teknologi sama halnya dengan bernafas. Namun kesantunan berbahasa dan bersikap menjadi terdegradasi seiring keterbukaan berekspresi. Ujaran kebencian yang berpotensi memicu keretakan kerukunan mudah ditemukan. Padahal generasi inilah yang rentan terpapar hal yang berpotensi merontokkan identitas budaya dan retaknya wawasan kewargaan dalam bingkai kerukunan dan toleransi. Adapun tujuan dari pembuatan aplikasi ini adalah ini adalah untuk memperkuat pembelajaran literasi budaya dan kewargaan berbasis trigatra bahasa untuk penumbuhan kepekaan toleransi bagi peserta didik digital natives.Latest updates
