Die App ist eine Testversion in Vorbereitung auf die neue Dauerausstellung des Museums. Wir freuen uns daher auf Ihr Feedback, um die Funktionen anzupassen und zu erweitern.
Scannen Sie einfach die QR-Codes in der Ausstellung und erfahren Sie mehr über den Architekturstil der 1920er Jahre.
Merkmal des Backsteinexpressionismus sind die namengebenden Backsteinfassaden. Der Stil entwickelte sich fast ausschließlich in Deutschland mit dem Schwerpunkt im norddeutschen Raum. Die kühlen, kristallinen Formen des Expressionismus setzten sich deutlich vom vorangegangenen Historismus ab. Die wichtigsten Baumaterialien des Architekturstils waren der namensgebende Backstein und Klinker. Während die weniger intensiv gebrannten Backsteine für die Wände verbaut wurden, boten die hart gebrannten Klinker Material für eine vielseitige Formensprache der Fassaden. Die Klinker zeigten ein reiches Farbspektrum, das von Rot über Violett bis fast Schwarz reichte.
Die Ausstellung im Ziegeleimuseum zeigt aktuelle Fotos expressionistischer Gebäude von Düsseldorf über das Ruhrgebiet und Bielefeld bis nach Hamburg und Berlin. Machen Sie sich ein Bild der Vielseitigkeit des Baustoff Ziegel.
Begleitend zur Ausstellung zeigen Studierenden der Detmolder Schule für Gestaltung ihre zeitgenössischen Interpretationen des Architekturexpressionismus.
