Description

Are you learning Japanese, but struggling to master the writing system? Do you wish there was a fun way to confidently memorise stroke orders? Now there is!

Characters fall from the top of the screen. Can you write them before they hit the bottom?

Japanese Writer is a great new way to master writing Japanese characters, including hiragana, katakana, and more than 2,000 Kanji from JLPT levels 5 up to 1.

It has a built-in spaced repetition algorithm which keeps track of how well you're doing with each character. Those you're making mistakes with will appear more often during play!

It's also a great character reference. Look up any character by romanisation or by typing Japanese—you'll hear all its pronunciations and see the correct stroke order too.

All JLPT level 5 characters are free to play, and there's a fairly priced subscription option for those ready to take their learning further.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★I think your app is great and innovative! I've downloaded alot of kanji apps and yours is one of the best I love how I can select inviduval kanjis that I want to learn without overwhelming myself!
3 ★I like the idea of this app but it crashes every time. I have not successfully made it through a round. I usually can write about 5 kanji or so before it crashes.
1 ★The app has you write the kana or Kanji as a game, but it doesn't display the correct symbol while playing. I have images telling me to draw く but the kana it wants is actually は. After I draw the correct kana, it doesn't repair, rather it shows く again and asks for ろ. This app isn't adequate for writing practice or learning at all. It can't even do the basics of what it claims. Don't bother downloading it.
3 ★Kanji works alright, with the later levels being incredibly difficult. But, the hiragana hardly ever works. It will show と and then have me draw ま over it. And when i try to draw it, it makes me draw it somewhere else, not giving me credit for drawing it correctly. This app has promise, but needs work.
1 ★Getting the N5 kanji down takes like a week on its own, but this app makes you pay to go further. Might as well make the app itself paid. As someone who needs work on N2 kanji and below, there are better free resources like Kakimashou and Ringotan.
2 ★This will eventually be a cool app, but the stroke recognition is currently way too sensitive. I sometimes have to redraw the same stroke 5+ times for it to recognize, and sometimes it wouldn't work at all and I would just get timed out. Cool concept though
4 ★A fairly good writing strengthening app, my only complaint so far is sometimes the kana that is shown is not the one that is said.
5 ★Fun and seems like a good way to practice kanji. I'm terrible at kanji and haven't written them in a long time so I need to practice. This is a good fun way. There is a little bug where it says pinyin bonus instead of I guess stroke order bonus? But not a big deal and understandable since this is based off their Chinese game and is a new release.
