Bajo la Ley 1801, sancionada por el presidente Juan Manuel Santos en julio de 2016, el 30 de enero próximo comienza a regir un nuevo Codigo Nacional de Policia, después de 45 años.El proyecto de ley fue presentado por el Ministerio de Defensa en el 2014 y desde aquel entonces varias de las atribuciones que ahora otorga la ley a la Policía, como el ingreso a las viviendas de las personas o predio urbano sin una orden judicial, la imposición de multas monetarias y el uso de la fuerza para hacer cumplir las normas, ocasionaron el debate en diferentes sectores de la sociedad.
Dice el Gobierno, que el objetivo principal de esta nueva norma, es darle mejoría a la convivencia ciudadana y bajar los índices de vandalismo, peleas entre vecinos, hurto de celulares y también la invasión del espacio público. ¿ El nuevo código nacional de Policía es la gran solución a estos problemas?
