Description
Das Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte (ZI) in München macht mit der kosten- und werbefreien App MunichArtToGo die vielfältigen Ressourcen zur Kunst- und Kulturgeschichte des Forschungsinstituts buchstäblich vor Ort „zugänglich“. MunichArtToGo bietet die Möglichkeit, mit Hilfe einzigartiger Quellen und Bestände aus dem Bildarchiv und der Bibliothek des ZI den urbanen Raum der Stadt München neu zu erkunden. Den inhaltlichen Bezugsrahmen von MunichArtToGo bildet dabei die „Kunststadt München“ von 1800 bis heute.Über eine interaktive Karte lässt sich der eigene Standort in der Stadt bestimmen und der nächstgelegene Ort aufsuchen, der eine interessante und spannende Geschichte erzählen kann. Die Stories zeigen historische Aufnahmen, die sich vor Ort mit dem heutigen Zustand vergleichen lassen, und machen Zusammenhänge und Brüche zwischen Vergangenheit und Gegenwart deutlich. Ergänzt wird das Angebot durch kurze Audio- oder Videoclips.
Der Glaspalast, der Wintergarten Ludwigs II., das Fotoatelier Elvira, die großen Kunsthandlungen des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts, die Bauten der Nationalsozialisten am Königsplatz oder der Central Collecting Point – Präsenz wie Absenz von Kulturerbe – historische Orte, Prozesse und Konstellationen – werden unmittelbar vor Ort erfahrbar.
Entwickelt wurden die Stories und thematischen Führungen von ZI-Mitarbeiter:innen, Fachkolleg:innen sowie von Student:innen des Instituts für Kunstgeschichte der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität. Zudem ermöglicht MunichArtToGo den User:innen das Erweitern und Ergänzen der Informationen und das Erstellen eigener Stories.
MunichArtToGo ist der Beitrag des ZI für das Programm kultur.digital.vermittlung, gefördert durch das Bayerische Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst.
