ÜBER DEN AUDIOGUIDEDer Audioguide begleitet durch die lange Geschichte der Technik und Wissenschaft: Von der Antike bis ins Zeitalter der Industrialisierung lässt sich die tiefe Verbindung zwischen technischen Erfindungen und Kunst anhand herausragender Objekte erleben. Die App beinhaltet Audiotracks und Abbildungen zu rund 20 Stationen und hat eine Dauer von etwa 60 Minuten.
ÜBER DIE AUSSTELLUNG
Jahrtausendealte Kunstwerke, die antike Mythen wiedergeben, Modelle animierter Skulpturen und eindrucksvolle wissenschaftliche Apparate des antiken, arabischen und asiatischen Kulturraums – das vereint die Ausstellung „Maschinenraum der Götter“ ab März 2023 in der Liebieghaus Skulpturensammlung.
Ausgangspunkte dieser antiken Forschung bilden die Sterne und Planeten, aber auch die enge Verbindung von Kunst und Technologie. Zahlreiche Leihgaben aus den großen Sammlungen der Welt belegen das lebendige Interesse an Mechanik und Programmierung vom 3. Jahrtausend v. Chr. bis in die Gegenwart
Die Ausstellung präsentiert über 97 bedeutende Werke aus internationalen Museumssammlungen und dem Bestand des Liebieghauses - darunter etwa die „Statuette des Imhotep“, der „Kopf eines Buddha“, ein „Universalastrolabium“, die „Maria Immaculata“ oder der „Apollo Kithara“ von Jeff Koons. Eine multimediale Ausstellungsarchitektur verwandelt das gesamte Liebieghaus in ein Museum, in dem Kunst und Wissenschaft aus über fünf Jahrtausenden lebendig werden.
