5 ★I'm very concerned about games with a gearing system. At first I was wary, but as time went on, the game just gives so much free gear to use on any units you'd like. The art is up there with arknights, the music as well. Don't even get me started on the story, it's great! The side stories /events give enough freebies to warrant clearing them out. The voice acting, gameplay were something I did not except to be so good! 20/10
2 ★This game would easily get 4 stars but due to a recent holiday ge update to the game removed a lot of good features like being able to level up a character during missions. It looks like the company is putting profits before its player base. Another great feature they removed that I haven't seen in other games like this is "Auto Repeat Battle". This feature let's you pick how many times to replay a certain mission or battle. Great feature for us idle players.
3 ★Hey Counterside team, recently I've been enjoying this game alot, I love the affects and the designs of each and every character. The detail in this game is magnificent I love it, but one issue I have with the game is that after the update, my phone has seemed to have lag everytime I play the game now, even with regular standard story missions my phone is laggy, before when I played it was very smooth and responsive. When I play it now after the update, it's been laggy ever since, please fix!!<3
5 ★I hardly ever leave a review but I have to for this game. I've been playing mobile games for 5+ years at least and this game is easily one of the best I've played. They have been beyond generous with rewards for a game that just launched. The graphics are beautiful the gameplay is fun and I love the story so far. I only real minor complaints I'd say is the "stamina" system needs to recover faster and disappointing no English voice option imo no excuse in today's world to not have it.
5 ★Wow, thank you for the great intro! There was so much to do. I enjoyed the story, music, character, gacha roll, and overall game design. After the honeymoon phase is where it gets sticky. When negotiating salary, I have trouble adjusting the resources because the - button is next to the add. Energy system is the bane of all gachas & counterside is no different. After spending all daily energy on farming for gear/parts there's really nothing left to do until runs reset. Need more endgame content.
4 ★Tutorial is not only obstructive and unnecessary, but it's crashing and freezing the game. Please consider adding a skip button to these tutorials. Players don't need a 2 minute exposition on how to level characters. *Edit for Publisher response* It was definitely launch and client issues. The game had to patch numerous times the last few days due to bugs. I will say the compensation given out for these bugs was very generous. I updated my rating, the game is at least playable now.
3 ★While at launch there's only one P2W character, eventually this will change and you can't compare in ranked PvP as a F2P. The game has a lot of resources and free things to earn F2P, just not for the "best" characters. Soundtrack is great, although the story tries too hard to be a bunch of twists, that it becomes annoying, repetitive, and convoluted. Most of the problems would be solved if people used common sense. Lastly, if you're looking for "intimacy" mechanics, there are better options.
2 ★Game was great initially, really fun to play and all but now after an in-app crash I can't even reach the login screen anymore due to the game hanging endlessly on the studiobside logo. Restarting my phone, clearing caches, deleting the app + reinstalling all did not fix the issue, which is a shame because I was really enjoying playing CS. Rating 2* due to unplayable, buggy state of the game right now.
3 ★Art's decent, combat's fluid, and ease of entry up to mid-game makes this title appealing for most. That being said, investment into characters becomes painfully expensive, doesn't net much growth, and the only ways to improve significantly are grind hard or break the bank, else some modes easily massacre your best teams without any warning. It might be a good design to make money but I play games for fun, not pain, and I hate when F2P means I get curb-stomped where others win without trying.
4 ★The game is worthy of a five star but the issue is between the Arena and the common closing ofthe game for seemingly no reason. As if you try to play the gauntlet an error will occur sometimes where you and your opponent's units turn into level 24 unknown units lead by a level 100 branch mananger as well as the ship will turn into a level 24 unknown ship and the only way to clear the error is to close and restart the game if this is fixed it can be a 5 star rating
5 ★I have been playing Counterside for a year now. The game is very F2P friendly but it takes a lot of time to get a full team built up for new players. The character designs are amazing, the story is excellent and the PVP balance is decent. The soundtrack is also pretty good. The biggest issue of the game is the randomization of getting the wanted Gear set and sub stat set.
2 ★So far the devs have been very generous with resources and summoning units. My issue is that the tutorials are riddled with bugs and I keep getting random login errors while I'm playing (mostly in pvp matches) and it kicks you out of whatever you're doing. I'm actually soft locked out of my expedition tutorial as a result of these bugs. It's really sad, I like the game a lot. But for a game that's been out for years in other regions, idk why these issues exist.
