Description
This trial grants you 24 hours of full functionality.Headset Droid allows you to customise what the buttons on your headphones do and gives you many other headset related functionalities while running in the background with minimal CPU usage.
Configurable click combinations
* Single/double/triple/quadruple click
* Single/double/triple click and hold
* These options work for the play/pause, next and previous button.
Button actions
* Play/pause, next, previous or stop track
* Volume up, down or reset and rise
* Launch app (e.g. Voice Actions)
* Fast forward or rewind (long press or toggle)
* Tasker task (search 'Tasker' in the Google Play Store)
* Redial
* Say time (requires Text-to-Speech)
Audio/volume functionality
* Target a specific media player to control.
* Separate volume levels will remember the media volume when (un)plugging your headset and restore it when (un)plugging your headset later.
* Ear protection allows you to limit the volume level.
* Volume reset and rise will start where you set it to start and rises based on the long-press delay.
Phone features
* Option to speak the name or number of the person calling. (Requires Text-to-Speech.)
* Single click on the play/pause button answers/ends calls.
* Double click on the play/pause button declines incoming calls and (un)mutes the mic during calls.
* Triple click repeats the caller name or number. (Requires Text-to-Speech.)
* The buttons of the 5 above options are customisable.
Extra features
* Monitor headset activity with timestamps.
* A widget to quickly switch the targeted media player.
* Export your settings to your SD card to switch between profiles or to back-up your settings. This function can be found by pressing menu.
* Execute actions when plugging your headset in or out.
* Turn on 'Headset (with mic) only' or 'Ignore system clicks' to selectively execute button actions.
Compatibility
* The play/pause button's long press functionality does not currently work with Jelly Bean due to Google forcing Voice Search to be launched.
* Works with almost all devices/wired headsets.
* Volume buttons on iPod/iPhone headsets will NOT work. This is due to hardware issues.
* Bluetooth headsets might not work.
* Fast forward and rewind require the media player to support it.
* TTS functionality requires Text-to-Speech to be installed on your phone.
Troubleshooting
* If Headset Droid seems to not be responding, press menu and select 'Check for conflicts'.
* If no conflicts are found, use the Headset monitor to see how Headset Droid is receiving and handling button interaction.

Notes
* Apps used to control headset clicks will conflict with ICS's lockscreen music widget due to Android's architecture.
* Please use the trial version to check if Headset Droid works without issues with your phone/headset/player. Uninstall the trial before installing the full version.

5 ★THIS IS A GREAT APP IT DOWNLOAD FAST AND ITS.JUST WHAT I EXPECT IN A APP LIKE THIS
1 ★I found a app doing a keyword search, "bluetooth headset". I am trying to find an app to give me more control over what the buttons on my motorola S9 bluetooth headset do. I would just simply like to be able use voice command/search with the call button instead of it just calling the last number I dialed. Maybe even get a little more functionality out of the forward and back buttons. This application does not even recognize my headset!
5 ★Installed this because my headset button stopped working to mute calls and I wanted to see if the phone was still registering it at all. The monitor function showed it was, and I was able to set up the mute function again. Will likely buy full app assuming removing trial causes the behavior to revert. Thanks!
1 ★This app is going in the right direction but the choosing of functions is far too complicated with the full list of all 3 permutations of buttons for a given function. Also i wanted an app that would mute my phone instead of ending the call and i couldnt get it to work. May be an incompatibility with ths GS3.
1 ★It occasionally poked up button presses, caused huge delays and was unusable, but that was with a Bluetooth headset. Fantastic idea just wish it worked
1 ★Not working on my samsung galaxy y. not even basic function play & pouse whatever the option it will simply turn up the volume. in debug mode still it is selecting the right option.
1 ★I tried it as a way to mute the microphone during phone calls. It turns out it mutes the microphone AND instantly hangs up the call AND the mic remains muted in all future calls DESPITE the fact that the phone app displays it as unmuted. A huge annoyance.
2 ★Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Samsung three-button earbuds, using Podkicker. Results: Headset Droid turned the skip forward/back buttons into volume up/down (very nice), but completely deactivated the Play/Pause button, making Headset Droid a near-miss.
2 ★Can't get the play/pause button to work at all. Weird that back and next buttons can't be keyed to rewind and forward, only toggling those functions. MyTouch 4G Slide and LG HBS-700.
1 ★I couldn't get 3 and 4 clicks to work on Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Apple headset. Headset Button ControllerTrial seems to work, though.
