Dr. Andrew Philominraj, autor del proyecto FIC “English Fun Learning”, financiado por el Gobierno Regional del Maule para la mejora de la competitividad regional a través de la inserción del idioma inglés por medio de English Fun Learning.El proyecto busca subsanar y potenciar el conocimiento y dominio del inglés de la comunidad parvularia perteneciente a la Región del Maule. Este proyecto se sustenta en la metodología Triangle Meet, constituido por el educador de párvulos, niños y apoderado y/o tutor. Fundación Integra es el asociado del proyecto y la implementación piloto se lleva a cabo en 7 jardines y sala cunas en las comunas de Pencahue, Maule, San Javier y Villa alegre.
El proyecto es liderado por el académico Andrew Philominraj del departamento de Idiomas de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad Católica del Maule. Él es doctor en la enseñanza y aprendizaje del inglés y este proyecto “English Fun learning” es su sueño hecho realidad, la que comenzó hace nueve años como un experimento, basado en la convicción y la confianza, cuando el idioma inglés fue introducido a un niño de cero días y más tarde siguió otro niño. Hoy después de nuevo años, está el milagro de dos niños hablando perfectamente en inglés, en un contexto no nativo, como el de Chile. Este proyecto es sin duda una apuesta para el bilingüismo en Maule. "
