Ahad Nama ka Matlab
‘Ahad ka matlab ‘yakta’ yani ek se hai. Aur nama ka matlab farman/Aetraf se hai. Banda ye iqrar karta hai ke ALLAH ek (yakta) hai.

حضرت ابنِ مسعود رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہےکہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک روز اپنے اصحاب سے فرمایا کیا تم اس بات سے عاجز ہوکہ صبح و شام اللہ تعالٰی سے عہد کرلیا کرو ؟ عرض کیا گیا کیسے ؟ فرمایا جو صبح و شام اس عہدنامہ کو پڑھے گا ایک فرشتہ اس پر مہر لگا کر عرش معلٰے کے نیچے رکھ دے گا اور بروزِ قیامت منادی ندا کرے گا وہ لوگ کہاں ہیں جن کے لیے اللہ کے پاس عہد ہے تو وہ جنت میں داخل ہوں گے
