Ilwa wurde von linguistischen und pädagogischen Expertinnen entwickelt und getestet.Die ILWA-App (Game Development by BrainBrosia Entertainment) ist Teil eines umfassenden multimedialen Sprachförderprogramms für Kindergärten. Im Kindergarten erarbeiten die Kinder gemeinsam mit den pädagogischen Fachkräften die einzelnen Inhalte, die dann am Tablet vor Ort oder zuhause mit den Eltern vertieft werden können. Die Nutzung der App setzt voraus, dass die Kinder die Lerninhalte vorab im Kindergarten kennengelernt haben.
Die bunte Welt von Ilwa Immerfroh, mit insgesamt 20 Bereichen und vielen verschiedenen anklickbaren Objekten und Soundeffekten, wartet darauf, entdeckt zu werden. Die Kinder besuchen den Streichelzoo und den Zirkus. Lernen im Supermarkt die verschiedenen Lebensmittelabteilungen kennen oder feiern im Kindergarten ein Fest. Und ganz nebenbei erweitern sie ihren Wortschatz und üben grammatikalische Strukturen.
